I think I’ll stick around for another 3 years ☀️ I re-signed my contract with
@CBS12
and I’m excited to continue to bring you your forecast every morning. Of course, always with a side of humor.

It’s Thursday & likely my last day on
@CBS12
News This Morning for a bit.
Not enough space in my belly to hold little dude & breathe comfortably so I’ll be doing the shorter shows that have less weather hits. You’ll see me more at 9am and noon!
Maternity starts late October.
You may see this a lot on your feed today. This "warming stripes" design was created
@ed_hawkins
. It shows the average global temperature from 1850 to 2017. The earth IS getting hotter

@WeatherProf
To all the people that take the time to write mean emails or messages to news stations, you know it takes a lot less time and energy to just change the channel right?

This is my best friend Danielle. She’s a CRNA and wears a mask at work all day, for 8+ hours a day. When she’s in the OR she wears 2. If she can wear this for 8 hours, you can wear one for 30 minutes while you’re grocery shopping.
Be kind. Wear a mask. Happy Friday.
Last day in front of the green screen. Getting too difficult to talk this far along in pregnancy. I’ll be handling our digital platforms until baby comes in a month.
@JenCollinsWx
and
@charlottecarlwx
are taking over my shows.
Now every day for me is casual Friday.
I’m taking a step back from my on air duties & will be working behind the scenes until baby arrives.
You’re in great hands with
@ZachCoveyTV
for the next few months.

@CBS12
Yes, I'm fully aware that this at-home set up doesn't look as good as being in the studio. But we're in the middle of a pandemic, and there is only so much I can do about that, so stop emailing me to complain. Also, wear a mask.
It’s 4 p.m. not 4 a.m. and I’m getting ready to bring you your forecast. Catch me on
@CBS12
all evening for the next week and a half!
I’ll be talking about weekend changes tonight.

My favorite part about today is the sass I'm adding to the emails I send back to people who write in to complain. Yes, I can see your messages. You know you don't have to watch right?
I think I'm going to create a series called "Meteorologists are people with feelings please stop emailing and messaging us mean things" (pause for a deep breath) and just tweet out things that actually get sent to us
