I had bloods done this morning. Nobody in the waiting room bar me was wearing a mask. When I saw the Phlebotomist he said you’re wearing a mask so I will as well. I was impressed , but really it should be the norm.
@ShafiAhmed5
Such impressive compliance here. It’s only been two hours since the lockdown deadline and I can hardly hear a car on my street ( an arterial street). We really do want to live here and be well in Perth, and we are ultra conscious of the wellbeing of others.
@HelenORahilly
My mum always has scratchies in to give people who do jobs in the house or deliver her things. Some years ago she gave a young guy a couple of scratchies. Months later, he came to the house with flowers and a restaurant voucher for her. He had won 46,000 Euro on spin the wheel.
@BradDesmond2
It is undoubtedly racism! And the massive size of him bullying and physically assaulting little kids 6-8 years old. They would have been terrified of him.
@RonniSalt
many of the men in federal parliament at the moment with their sitting day boozing, anti-vaxxing protests, Facebook stalking and prayer room cavorting would not have won or still have their parliamentary seats without the brand and connections a major party has brought them. YES!

I worked with a guy about 35 years ago and his nickname was The Lord. His son later joined the job and they called him The Baby Jesus.

You’re great! My wedding and engagement ring disappeared many years ago. I never got them back and I sometimes dream they were found.
@mimisanso
Brilliant! A few years ago I bought a local octogenarian morning tea at a nearby coffee shop. She looked at me critically and said that dress is a bit short on you. I said yeah, I reckon my mum would think the same as I swished off short skirtedly happy into the sunny day.
@rtenews
Why should he revisit the decision?! Appallingly insensitive invitation. Maybe they’ll have a commemoration of the Famine and their exporting all that grain while huge numbers of Irish people starved to death next!
@Wait_____what
@mrtonymartin
Made me think of the Christy Moore song: just an ordinary man, nothing special, nothing grand. The sticky up morning hair as he blearily picks up his newspaper. One of us! It must be killing them that the pic ricocheted on them.
@PaulMeekPerth
Colin Blanch Police Commissioner should withdraw the despicable comments he made in the wake of this child being brutally attacked and dying from his injuries.

I also support transgender people. I call out anti trans tweets. I find Jane Caro overbearing and solipsistic though because of her superior and arrogant attitude. She was abusive to me previously purely because I knew more than her on a legal issue.

@historyinmemes
I guess one of your disabled cousins wasn’t locked away in a home and hidden from society, receiving no visitors for 78 years, until her death either. The queen’s first cousin was locked away like that! Stop making sycophantic excuses for parasitic royalty.
@christianlexus
It has always blown me away that the Sherriff happened to knock over that particular folder. Let’s say there were three extras, then that’s a minimum of 15 folders in the jury room.
@jamal_ginsberg
It’s ridiculous to try to conflate the two. Enoch Burke is a bigot who abused the principal at a school anniversary in front of witnesses and then completely lost the plot when rightfully suspended from his job. He’s dug himself a right hole now with the 700€ a day fine.

“Fawning is also known as ‘people pleasing’. Although helpful in simplifying it, this language is problematic because it makes it sound superficial. Fawning is a painfully tragic, universal phenomenon. “ Superb piece.

Hard Left! Laughing my head off at this nonsense. With LNP they never bleat Reactionary Right, or even Suicide Inducing Robodebt Right!
@JaneyGodley
I’m sorry that you’re being subjected to this unhinged vitriol, Janey! All the sane people wish you well. Positive thoughts winging your way from Western Australia.

, deceit is second nature to them.

Back in 1993 I saw a security guy outside a city store manhandling a teenage girl. I took it he was accusing her of shoplifting. He was wrenching her arm. I walked over and said stop, no need for that. She ran off. I was dressed in black jeans/ top. My Husband later said Zorro!
@Paul_Karp
@Henjam48
Don’t see it happening. I’ve known cases where there’s been way more publicity than this and they’ve just ended up as Judge alone trials. “Instructions“ are simply the accused saying to his lawyer this is what I’d like you to submit to the court!
@senatorbabet
Please shut it, misogynist! Mostyn is a lawyer with way more qualifications and workforce experience than you. Frankly, but for the fact the BFM paid for you to get into politics, you‘d be lucky to pick up shifts in McDonald’s.
@Editorialz
“neither is Hidetheguard, even if she can eat an apple through a chicken wire fence and sing a song at the same time.” OK , you’ve given me my last laugh of the night and now I have to bed down.
@ConorGallaghe_r
It is sickening as it would have been incredibly hard for this young man to report a sexual assault being perpetrated upon him by young men whom he regarded as friends. To the supportive mum, a suspended sentence is real as it will be activated if they reoffend during its term.

Government reps should be there handing out money/ vouchers to those who can’t use their cards and don’t have cash. It’s a MAJOR disaster. They sunk so many millions into enforcing repulsive Robodebt and then they all fade to grey amidst a deafening silence when this happens!
@ImSpeaking13
Families who walk four or five abreast on the footpath with impunity. I always challenge them, saying excuse me please as I break up their number! I often have a briefcase that might inadvertently connect with one of them.
@QldPolice
The utter sadness and senselessness of it. Trying to find a missing person to reunite them with loved ones for Xmas, and to be cut down in cold blood! Condolences to the families of Matthew and Rachel.
@broomstick33
She read it from her phone yet she still stuttered and stumbled over the words as she asked the question ! I liked the way Albanese asked her twice when it was from. Initially she didn’t even know the year. Moronic question.
@ChrisHeHim1
@MinhKular
Disgraceful. He and his fellow vile vigilantes should have been arrested. Disorderly, trespass, threats . There must have been some laws they were breaking.
@TheLiberal_ie
Not true! He breached an injunction obliging him to stay away from the school. That is why he is in Mountjoy. He has been given repeated chances to purge his contempt of court, but will not do so. It was HIS choice to delay disciplinary proceedings.
@RonniSalt
And even when they crawl up into their dingy attics and gaze upon their desiccating Dorian Grays, they’ll probably still tell themselves they acted only in her interests.
@FrankGreaney
Christ, he‘s trying to lecture the judge on relevance. A schoolteacher! He‘d want to be careful of the arse of his pants. Michael D appointed Justice Maire Whelen.
@BrodHiggins
could trot into the court any time and go for Enoch Burke.
@SineadHus
The judges and the court staff probably have a valium with their morning tea to keep them calm in anticipation of the Burke madness to come!
@TheTeetering
@CDunnart
This is so offensive. 30 years ago I left a land where Christ and Caesar were firmly hand in glove. Now this creeping Jesus’ puke inducing proselytising! An election can’t come soon enough.
@PhillipAdams_1
I loved Hitch’s exposure of Mother Teresa as a greedy embezzler of funds of the poor who would fly first class on their dollar, and her reluctance to see ill people suffering be provided pain relief best!
@BenPhilip_
Heartwarming, lovely story. I’m delighted that the kind finders took the trouble to have her bag returned to this woman after so many years.
@SharonLeavy1
@Independent_ie
I agree. It’s the equivalent of penalising other children for illnesses beyond their control, or indeed family dysfunction beyond their control, e.g. domestic violence resulting in lost school days.
@RonniSalt
@PeterDutton_MP
“The phone call is coming from inside the house.” Jesus, it is! Nobody seems to be really alarmed at this prospect. I hope that the Andrews family is protected to the nth degree. I wouldn’t exactly be scathing ( as I normally would be ) at the idea of Panic Rooms right now.
@champers12345
@MaryLloyd4
Because selfish, entitled people just ignore the Dog Act. I know this as I have cause to report dogs off leash on South Beach (non dog beach) about once a week to Fremantle Ranger. There are dog beaches on either side of the beach, which are ignored by self centred dog owners!
@BLUEfingers2021
Genuine open smiles by the women. No one trying desperately to escape as their arms are nearly wrenched from their sockets in forced handshakes like it is with Morrison!
@sallymcmanus
@Tony_Burke
They had the gall to mock the man for using an heirloom family bible from when his family escaped An Gorta Mor ( The Irish Famine ) at his swearing in as a Minister! Shame on them. He’s showing true grit in this move.
@AlboMP
@Judith54Nunn
Teenagers smiling at you and you’re not trying to wrestle them into a forced handshake! A refreshing change from the Morrison way.
@MichaelSpring17
@TonyKoc69285191
Afraid not, Michael! She was downright nasty and dismissive of me when I was clarifying a legal issue and then blocked me when she was proved wrong. It’s quite some time ago now. She has a monumental ego. I have zero interest in her and even less trust!
@EnochBurke
Coward. You didn’t have the courage to face the court and testify. You didn’t have a clue how to examine those witnesses you subpoenaed and whose time you shamefully wasted!
@FrankGreaney
Translation: Ward who is a seasoned SC argued more coherently and cogently than Ammi Burke and mammy Martina who were screeching like banshees and disrupting proceedings!
@AgnessMack
It’s amazing she didn’t know that copies of transcript are normally only provided to prosecution and defence counsel. Maybe she thought the court would make an exception for an “esteemed” Senator, albeit her being yet to give evidence as a prosecution witness!
