@NUFC
More lies terry, The 56k attendance record nufc set in 47 /48 wasn’t broken until 1968 by man I with an average of 68k in the season you won European cup. In the 1950”s the club with the highest average attendance in the country was nufc.
@NatashaNUFC
He has had a lot more bad games for nufc than good. If you think differently you haven’t been supporting nufc very long . He is championship plodder. Needs peddling in the summer
@jonlane86
£20 is more than reasonable. If you want cheaper tickets then
#safc
is the club for you. Next summer if they charge. £30 wouldn’t have problem.
#nufc
is not a charity.
@CharIieBennett
He doesn’t, he is in late 20”s. Had one decent season in the top flight. Was poor in his last season at Leeds. Dreadful at city. One of biggest myths in football that Phillips is any good
@skegtony
Been sang on trips to vilepool for at least the last 35 years. Nothing wrong with it. Both Everton and vilepool are up there in most unpleasant supporter bases.
@CharIieBennett
You do know nfl aren’t playing on some days as nufc. SJP is tired and dated. Let’s face it is not a shrine to success. A state of the art new ground pulling in the revenues required is the way forward.
@GuillemBalague
Howe has nothing to do with Emery . He is the alternative candidate. I would have thought a seasoned journalist could have worked out, without having it pointed out them.
@11Rasmus11
@talkSPORT
In 1974 Liverpool had won the same number of trophies as Newcastle. If Newcastle have dominant 15 similar to Liverpool’s then they will be viewed in the same bracket . Same applies to city if continue to dominate for next 10 years they have to be viewed similar size.
@Sunderland_GM
It was about Uefa not Newcastle. No great suprise you got it wrong as you have no understanding of matters relating to European club football. So please refrain from commenting. We wouldn’t comment on pizza cup matters.
@AdamP1242
I would say ignore the abuse . However there have been constructive comments about what you do well / not so well. Please take these on board as after all nufc fans are now your means to earning a decent wage.
@Pooliemags1Ttv
He was unemployed. Not a chance that the Saudis put up with this for much longer. They have a similar outlook to the city owners. If you don’t perform, then you are gone. Pif will be thinking about howes replacement already. He deserves sacking.
@marksparko
Football league owe duty of care to Wigan as they are to blame for current mess. They should instantly reverse 12pt penalty. Good to Wigan from an Newcastle fan
@liannesanderson
One the greatest footballers this country has ever produced is irrelevant. You on the other hand played Sunday. Morning pub level football and seem to have deluded yourself that your as relevant as KK.
@NUFCTheMag
The sad thing to a degree that some of those who didn’t give up their tickets. Have no ambition for nufc and were happy with a ticking along club.
@Anagram_60
@skegtony
Yes that’s the point, football rivalry is all about pettiness and and a little bit of nastiness. It’s supposed to have a little bit of an edge to it. This woke, warm, fluffy and cuddly approach to other fanbases. Needs to stop.
@CraigHope_DM
That’s him out for a month. As good as he is , We can’t carry a player who can’t be relied on to stay fit for more than 4 or 5 matches in a row. Needs to be replaced in the summer.
@terrychristian
@GhostDancer01
@NUFC
What that meant 13k couldn’t get in. Man U never averaged above 50k prior to 68. Also Man U set a world record for a drop in average attendances between 68 and 73 when you were relegated with an average of 42k . A drop of 25k in average attendance in 5 years
@SkySports_Keith
@LukeEdwardsTele
Nufc fan base have touched a nerve this week with NE journalists. I believe they have taken a lot unfair abuse this week which they certainly did not deserve. This doesn’t apply to puke who has actively sort to antagonize the nufc fanbase for over 20 years .
@matthewftm02
Erm it’s 23 years since we averaged less than 47k. Over 30 years since we averaged 30k (when the ground was full). A quick check of the record books shows
#safc
never averaging more than 47k
@caseysean51
Doesn’t prove anything . There was speculation in April that
#nufc
were interested in Isak. Also reports at the time the Nunez was probably out of
#nufc
reach. still don’t let any of that get in the way of you claiming you were ITK.
@nufcollie97
Not just about tonight though is it. Tonight is just a continuation of abysmal away form. City haven’t had an easier quarter final since they played, Bruce’s nufc 4 years ago. Damming indictment of howes team. Meek and pathetic best sums up performance.
@BxileySZN
@jacklaadnufc
@888sport
You have spent about 15 seasons in the third tier.
#nufc
have never played outside the top two leagues . We won’t mention the 9m fewer through the turnstiles than nufc.
@terrychristian
@GhostDancer01
@NUFC
Erm in the early 90”s Man U got less than 20k for a European game. Only 29k bothered to turn up in the 92/93 season for agame when you won the pl. yes the Stretford end was being rebuilt but OT capacity still 34k at the time.
@GeorgeCaulkin
Howe would be a terrible appointment spent over £250m in last 4 seasons at Bournemouth. In top 10 pl spenders in each of those seasons. 60 goals conceded in each pl season . Never worked at big club with expectation and intense pressure.
@LaneHusband1
Bit like Jose, never slagged nufc off, always said a lot of good things about the club. Like to think it was his connection to SBR that played a part in this.
@CoastalPalace
@_paul_the_nerd_
@Mark_CPFC
@NUFC_Ciaran
In a 120 season
#nufc
have spent 95 seasons in the top flight. Suffered the same no of relegations as Man U. palace on the other hand have spent less than 25 seasons in the top flight been relegated more times in the last 40 years than nufc in 130 years.
@SAFCFANSVIEW
@JPickford1
Certainly it isn’t Pickford. After he has lost so many games to nufc and his chat strophic errors in those games have led to the defeats.
@JamesMelville
Isn’t the war in Yemen a de-facto war between Saudi v Iran. Due to this the west are backing the saudis and Russia are backing Iran, who in turn are arming the rebels.
@EvilSashPioneer
@UNTDJord
@HLTCO
Where did this myth that palace have good support come from? In 2009 less than 8,000 of the bothered to turn up for their third home game of the season against
#nufc
. Always had shit support home and away.
@CraigHope_DM
Lots of rewriting history here. Whilst he was a source for good in the 90,s. All his family and fat Fred did in the last 5 or 6 years of nufc ownership were to use it as a cash cow. they were running nufc very badly when they sold it to Ashley.
@TweetingSeagull
Yet your stadium on Saturday was plastered with Saudi Aramco. Sponsorship. Who have the same chairman as NUFC. Yet we don’t see any outrage from Brighton Fans over that. Just pure envy at
#nufc
’s new found wealth.
@JoshGordon8
Those type of seats are required to generate income to compete at top end of the n pl. will only be a few hundred of them. If you think all seats should be £20 then you should have been happy having Ashley in charge.
@Brian_Dingle_
@LeeMarshall9
Absolute nonsense. Everyone has been asked their opinion so it’s dilluting nothing. If you think the clubs commercial partners shouldn’t be allowed a say. Then you have little grasp on how the world works.
@GeorgeCaulkin
Today was. a very good example of why Bruce shoukd never have been within a million miles of the managers job at Nufc. Takeover or no takeover the bloke needs sacking.
@MsiDouglas
Better tan 98 & 99 but only marginally. Highlighted the need for a big summer. If longstaff, miggy or ASM are getting serious game time for the first team next season, I will be very concerned.
@NUFCTheMag
I will caveat that I gave my ticket up in 2016. So didn’t qualify to be one of the 1000. however I do no people who have gone to matches home and away for decades. Who Gave up their ticket due to Ashley. Feel sorry for them if they didn’t get a ticket today.
@Wilson1892
Mental that around 30 people hold up a banner. Which the fan base wasn’t consulted on . Yet years later a section of our fan base all seem to think we all brought into this banner at the time. 8 defeats in 10 he needs sacking. Second half tonight was pathetic
@Ramma_____
@iloveidpol
91 /92 season the worst season. In nufc history. We averaged over 21k. Fifth highest ave attendance in the country, despite finishing 5th bottom of 2nd division. Unparalleled support. Safc averaged 14k that season despite finishing above nufc.
@lee_ryder
One of the worst signings in nufc history. Laughable they are haggling over fees on quality players this summer. When they wasted £25m on Wood.
@brumeagle
Your owner, does business with them. Your jealousy is dripping from every letter you need to get a grip. You support a small club who soon will be back in the lower leagues, so you don,t need to worry about pl issues
@GraemeBailey
Should have walked away weeks ago. Amateurish from nufc to try and persist with signing him this long . They need to get deals over the line. They seem completely incapable of closing out these large transfer deals.
@Im_RobM
@newfredd
Baring burn missing. You can say the team we put on Saturday is stronger than the Arsenal starting eleven. With Isak in for Wilson. If we can beat arsenal , we can beat Chelsea and Man U. Bigger challenge is PSG.
@GeneralGrantos
Nothing wrong with the view from the back of level 7. Be grateful you have a ticket. I would also suggest not entering any further ballots.
@danwinwoodoffic
@Nufc2Everything
@AvfcTalkTime
This shows how little you know about football. The historic measure for a clubs size is attendances. Only Man U, arsenal and Liverpool have had more than nufc. Villa a footballing non entity.
@NUFCblogcouk
The CEO of another pl club shouldn’t be party to all the details of the test. So would treat the report as bollocks. On the other hand If do know details the consortium could have a good case to sue Pl for divulging confidential info.
@terrychristian
@C_Ward93
@NUFC
Pre busby babes Man U wre a small club who had been yo-yoing between the two top divisions. Four or five relegations. In the previous 20 seasons
@Wilson1892
There is drop off , and there is a return to Bruce ball which essentially what has happened. Even last season howe looked tactically limited. This season the injuries have just exposed those limitations. He has made no attempt to adapt and play in a different way .
@TutFoster
Alternatively some of those that still went are complicit in supporting Ashley. They have no ambition for the club and this takeover is no good to them.
@NufcNorthWales
Lack of creativity glaring. wide front men no end product. Need to be replaced in the summer along with a number 10 brought in. No doubt the ASM haters will jump on him. I I thought miggys performance today was nothing short of pathetic. Looks championship standard.
@katiem430
Some of us have been watching nufc for over 40 years and knows what good and bad looks like. Also can see when a manager is tactically limited / inflexible. How is no better than pardew and needs replacing with someone better.
@FooktheBigSix
Nufc have an all time average attendance of 33k, villa 29k and west ham and Leeds an average of 25k. Nufc have had 25 million more the turnstiles than Leeds and west ham. 8 million more than villa. Only Man U , vilepool and arsenal have had more than nufc.
@chris_armin
Isn’t the Liverpool deal £60m. Also as it was leaked on Amazon the deal is hundreds of million. Which would suggest something closer to £50m per season. Also don’t think it will be 10 year deal. As club know if they continue to grow they will be able to get a better deal
@Edit_Kev
He has no plan b, it’s the one thing Bournemouth fans said was his down fall. The away form this season has been atrocious. Pif aren’t going to put up with this for long. I think Howe is done. Time to get a top manager.
@thespiritof37
Cheap and nasty. Showed the rest of country yet again that safc fans have no class. Well done for recycling Turkey foil and children’s nativity play decorations into flags.
@DanMoroney_
Wouldn’t pay £50m,for a proven quality pl performer. But willing to pay £30m for an untried unproven forward. I can’t get my head around this nufc transfer strategy at all. To me it’s very scatter gun. Plus the person with gun has been dabbling to much with class A”s
