People do get vaccinated from the flu every year. Everyone with asthma is offered the flu vaccine as well as all the vulnerable. COVID is
A) more deadly
B) causes long term issues through long COVID
C) also hospitalises more people for a significant time.
All facts. Grow up.
Me and my dad almost lost literally everything because of Portsmouth football club, a really dark time, days like this just make all of it so so worth it, I was brought up with this and it will never leave me
Now, remember on Sunday that the place to get a burger/hot dog or a draught beer to have on the common for the Parade is from me at the Beach Club, not far to walk 👍😂
#Pompey
By the way, anybody who gives
@jamescatlin_
shit over his dad is a muppet, pure bottom feeder mentality. Happened to me when my dad was at the club and frankly it’s just weird, just stop. 👍
If Joe Michalzhuk is involved in the clubs 125th anniversary celebrations I think I can consider myself not going to Pompey anymore. After everything he did against Pompey and specifically my family who gave everything at the time for Portsmouth Football Club.
#LFC
played 7 less games than
#Pompey
last season and have better fitness facilities. If Jürgen could stop being pathetic about replays now that’d be great, lower league clubs who get huge money (for them) for the tie don’t care if Mo Salah is complaining he wants time off.
Nobody really knows the stress of family life beneath the public sphere, it’s good that a very small part of it is now clear, the rest is for another day. My dad is my hero and I’m immensely proud 💙
10 years ago, Micah Hall was a pivotal figure in saving
#Pompey
from liquidation. Yet the consequences ruined his life. Alarming story from somebody that so many fans owe so much to.
Pompey fans comments about Bryn Morris are harsh, he’s been poor but he gets such a battering for a bloke who does try and had tons of injury problems he had to get over. Can only wish him luck.
Quick reminder: Portsmouth’s biggest club legend won more trophies, the most prestigious in England at that, in two years than Le Tissier did in his life
@jayrayner1
At the Restaurant I run we shut Mon-Weds during winter, I refuse to lessen the quality of the product so the only other option is to shut when there’s no money to be had
I know things are bad on the pitch at the moment but the amount of people having a go at Catlin and people like my dad are embarrassing, they’re not even on twitter ffs 🤣. If you think Catlin doesn’t have the best interests of the club at heart then you’re just wrong 🤷🏻♂️
#Pompey
Mark Catlin did a hell of a lot for this football club and the personal slating is quite often just beyond ludicrous, makes mistakes like any human. Can’t wait to see the next scapegoat 👀🤣🤦🏽
@highamnoone
@HistoryHannahB
You just read a tweet saying how it was unfair someone had to have their birthday with one person while people fleeced the system and had parties and your response was to not be angry at the people taking the piss but the other way round. Are you alright?
I’m a 23 year old man and I still get the massive urge, when I see a Pompey player out and about to run up to them and just shout “I FUCKING LOVE YOU”. Would be a bit weird though.
Seeing Saka crying last night almost made me go and anyone who abuses him has about half the courage of that 19 year old lad who steps up in front of tens of millions when his country called upon him, biggest courage in the business, what a guy. Makes me so proud 🏴🙌
#ThreeLions
Fun fact when I had to serve Steve Evans when he stayed at the hotel I was working at he was literally as bad as people say, he’s a repugnant human who deserves every bit of misfortune. Sorry not sorry 🤷🏼♂️
The year is 2050 and the league one Classico begins, Pompey face Sunderland for the fifth time this season and Sunderland manager Lee Cattermole is looking for revenge for his pentaly miss at Wembley in 2019.
Never thought I’d say this but got completely disinterested with Pompey this season. Reason? Not Jackett or the football, a big part of it must be lockdown but the other is going on twitter and seeing loads of people go mad at our own players. Never used to be like this. Grim. 🤢
@JamzLowe
Real fans will always back you, wherever you end up, we just all love what you’ve done here so much that it’s hard to acknowledge that you might go. I’ll never forget Notts County, my favourite away day ever 💙😍

Really? Because my dad was a director of marketing a professional football club and that seems like mostly bollocks except maybe the odd rare rare case. 🤷🏻♂️
Serious thoughts on 125 and the Joe situation. Do not, direct hate or anything other than fair and levelled criticism at
@colinfarmery
and
@AshBeen23
as I have seen some, they’re fantastic people who have done more for Pompey than most will ever know.
#Pompey
I’ve been to 76 grounds watching Pompey, go to as many as I can, I’m a hospitality GM so I can’t do many anymore. The loyalty point system protects that hardcore who go to every game they can and they deserve to be there at the best times as they’re there at the bad. End.

#Pompey
is just toxic at the moment. The reaction to Ragget and Brown signing deals is just weird, Ragget is very good at this level, Brown is vice captain and we don’t have a left back. Christ.
Here’s an unpopular football opinion. People lord Zlatan as one of the best strikers about when in reality he was just “good” but has a persona to back it up...
@jeremycorbyn
Are you going to come up with anything positive at any point other than “Look how crap the tories are!” We get that but would be great if there was actually a viable alternative...
Thinking of all of the people grieving Pete’s loss this morning, there will be a lot such was the magnitude of the bloke.
Rest in peace Pete, thanks for everything
@peteblackman
💙
I’ve seen people slagg of MC today for pleading the case for lower league clubs, which there shouldn’t be any issue about and Pompey fans using vile names on that fundraiser, I’ve been awake an hour. Couple that with the stupid protest and the fundraiser and I’m pretty much done.
"We try not to eat a lot in one day, even though most of us are really hungry."
Almost 1 in 3 children in the UK are now growing up poor, like Cameron and his two sisters whose family rely on a food bank to help fill the fridge.
All I’m saying on the retained list is I don’t see why every year we release some youth players and people get really annoyed about it but:
A) don’t watch them play
B) will never admit they’re wrong if they’re playing for Bognor still in 5 years
#Pompey
For what it’s worth. There’s 0 point in
#Pompey
redeveloping Fratton if Network Rail and council aren’t on board. It just isn’t feasible to have a small station and traffic the way it is and increase attendances. 🤷🏻♂️
This and the messages about us bringing the noise. We do. Every home game at the moment is sold out, don’t shove blame at the fans feet IMO, isn’t like there’s rampant booing and people having a go
I’m bored of players trying to lift fans during games by throwing their hands up. The fans have done their part. 19,000 today. Fleetwood away sold out. It’s not our fault we find ourselves 3-0 down at home to Leyton Orient after 40 minutes. Pathetic performance. Heads gone.
Pompey Twitter is properly annoying because she’s it’s so self absorbed by hatred and annoyance of one side against the other with nobody talking in factual statements, just a lot of angry waffle this past few days.
Controversial
#Pompey
opinion but don’t think we actually need another striker. Marquis scored, what, 16 in a really poor side last season? If he’s given decent service and scores 20 you really can’t complain, everyone would love a 20 goal a season striker.
Gutted about Macca, he was a great human being, when my dad was at the club he was so nice to us, every time I saw him he was so kind. Too young, rest easy Macca 💙
What a rollercoaster few months it’s been for me, was told there was damage on my liver out of nowhere then went into hospital with suspected meningitis/encephalitis, didn’t have that and ultrasound on my liver today was pretty positive. Never felt so lucky 🙌🏻💙
@PompeyPedro
Think I’m in the minority when I say this but he’s finished isn’t he? Looks a lot slower than he did first year, goals dried up. Will still score goals in the right position but doesn’t contribute to general play, can’t close down properly and so on. Will score goals in L2.
@cricketjim1
They’re grafting and not their fault they’ve been picked, we can disagree with it but is what it is, Ahmed is the future so was always going to play. Should’ve been Jimmy for Hartley IMO really but that’s not his fault

Most football clubs have deals with their kit makers, including Man United’s typically to pay for the shirt and then take the rest as profit which isn’t a lot. Never heard of loads of players getting a cut of their own shirts so it’s an irrelevant point to stoke division. 👍
Casual reminder to myself that when I was working for Marriott I was just shy of 15 stone and deeply unhappy about it, year on I’m at 12.5. Mind over matter 🙌
There's two kinds of
#pompey
fans when it comes to Chaplin. The ones who believe he's not all that and then people like me, who see the potential. Think he's a great replacement if someone gets injured and could prove something. Who knows 🤷🏻♂️
I love cricket so so much. It has to get with the times. Why were we not starting at 10 today? We lost 27 overs in the first three days alone, then god knows how many yesterday. Going off yesterday for bad light when floodlights literally exist. It’s all so draconian
#Ashes23
#Pompey
Twitter is crazy right now. I’m not a fan of a lot of our players but the idea that people are talking about players starting it all and students getting paid off on no evidence is crazy, how does anyone know what actually happened? 🤦🏽🤷🏻♂️
It’s great when
#Pompey
are class, just washing up in my kitchen and I just start thinking of Abu scoring at Bolton and how great that was, could live this season all over again
Random conversation today was that it’s over 7 years since our ‘mother’ ran away and caused the family hell for years. Always remember the people who stand by you, the people who backed us while we proved those shouting loudly wrong. One day those stories will get told 🥊😎
Tomorrow I’m going to write a whole piece on the apathy surrounding Portsmouth football club and the state of the playing side because I want too. I was writing for a sport blog at 14/15 and got decent reviews and have no idea why I haven’t done it since.
