25 years ago today, my dad died suddenly from a heart attack. We now know that exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam destroyed his heart. I miss my dad every single day & it means so much to me that the @VVMF honors men & women who died after returning home.

Some little factoids I learned today: •I was in a coma for 36 days •I was on a ventilator for a month before the tracheostomy. I need to remind myself on the daily how lucky I am that be alive (and walking).

Had a check-up with my PCP today and lost another 15 pounds in three months. I am officially the thinnest I have ever been in my adult, which means I’ve lost 175 pounds from my highest weight in 2015. I am strangely emotional about this.
