Posting our summer office hours for our District 13 constituents.
Our office will close at 2 p.m. on Fridays during the summer months. We will still be available via social media and email for any requests and/or concerns that come up.
I stand with the firefighters of the FDNY, recognizing their right to express political views during the recent promotion ceremony. It is fundamental to our democratic values that individuals can freely voice their opinions, even if they differ.
Today I voted against the override of the How Many Stops Act along with the bill that would completely abolish solitary confinement.
I proudly stand with my brothers and sister in blue. I will continue to stand and fight for them and protect our public safety.
@NYCCCommonSense
Tonight my thoughts and prayers are with Officer Diller’s family, and our brothers and sisters in blue. This is a huge loss for our city. May you rest in peace Officer Diller
This morning my
@NYCCCommonSense
colleagues and I met with the
@NYCPBA
to talk about our officers, the challenges they are facing with new administrative hurdles, and how I can work with our officers to ensure they are safe and secure in their every day work
Squatting is becoming too common and it needs to stop now. It is a public safety issue, a burden on homeowners and a danger to our communities. I stand with
@VickieforNYC
If we do not change the law now, it will only be a matter of time before spreads to the rest of NYC!
First day - first post!
A fantastic day with the
@NYCCCommonSense
, my
@NYCCouncil
colleagues, and my staff!
As we transition into the office, please follow my official CM account
@KristyMarmorato

Hochul’s comment is concerning and offensive. It’s troubling that she makes such assumptions about our young kids of the Bronx
I encourage her to come to the BX and see the talent we house in our borough. I also expect her to further invest in our children of the Bronx.
The Gov of NY, Kathy Hochul, says young black kids in the Bronx don’t know what the word computer is.
Democrats exposing their racism again…
Play this video in every predominantly black neighborhood until November.
Regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, or racial background- antisemitism is UNACCEPTABLE and will not be tolerated in our city.
Our children, teachers, New Yorkers, and Jewish brothers and sisters deserve better. They deserve safety and respect.
The teacher who has been in fear for her life for over two years & was tormented at Origins High School, as well as the school’s campus security manager spoke to

Earlier today, the City Council Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises held a hearing regarding the City of Yes’s Economic Opportunity text
As I’ve stated in the past, and will continue to stand by - this is not a one size fits all solution
Take a listen to my testimony below:
“Felony assaults have gone up 15.5% in the subway system…, according to NYPD data”
Rather than having the national guard waste time and resources, we need to let our NYPD officers do their job.
We need to repeal bail reform laws. We need safety, now!
During my campaign I spent a lot of time in my local train stations. I was witness to many fare beaters. I commend the NYPD for their efforts to address this issue. I stand with my brothers and sisters in blue.

Many of our constituents had reported “ghost cars” parked in Throggs Neck for long periods of time, and last night,
@NYPDnews
responded by removing these dormant vehicles. Parking is already difficult in our district, and we don’t need inactive vehicles taking up parking spaces!

Thank you to the
@MTA
for your swift and diligent painting over the graffiti at the Morris Park Subway station!
These are the things that make and keep our community’s standards at their best!
Today I had the pleasure of meeting the Bronx Subway Good Samaritan Mr Alfredo Troche Jr. aka Batman. Instead of taking out his camera and filming an elderly lady in distress on the subway, he stepped up and intervened. We are lucky to have you in the Bronx.
Wishing my good friend
@susanzhuangnyc
and , all folks who celebrate, a Happy Lunar New Year 🧧!
May the year of the dragon bring you success, prosperity, and all the best!
We cannot (literally) afford to impose this kind of economic burden on our constituents!
We will continue to fight, side by side, with our constituents and make sure their voices are heard!

We are looking forward to keeping the integrity, diversity, and community values that have been such an intricate part of this land.
Dr. King once said “everybody can be great, because anybody can serve”.

Always an incredible turn out to honor our fallen heroes - I’m truly grateful to represent a district with such patriotism and dedication to our veterans 🇺🇸
Earlier today at City Hall, I introduced my first ever resolution as Councilwoman, to annually designate March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Day in NYC.
This personally hits home for me & our district! We love , support, and honor our Vets! Thank you for all your service!

worked together to make Morris Park Ave & Taylor Ave streets much cleaner. Great Work!!
Today we’ve hung mourning bunting on my door in the rotunda in honor of Police Officer Jonathan Diller. It’s important to demonstrate that there are many at City Hall who do value the sacrifice of our
#NYPD
officers. The rotunda has been used to honor our fallen heroes on

We have repeatedly said that congestion pricing WILL “hurt the economy” and now the governor is confirming our concerns
Not to mention the fact she fears that her party’s candidates would lose “competitive elections”
We need to stop this cash grab and work for the people!
Gov. Hochul is working behind the scenes to postpone the tolling program over fears it might hurt the economy and Democrats’ chances in competitive House elections this year, according to a source and published reports.
This afternoon I had an incredible time with the seniors and talented belly dancer at
@PSSUSA
!
It’s important to remember to dance, smile, and enjoy these fun moments in life!
It’s
#NationalNursesWeek

The men and women of the FDNY demonstrate such courage in protecting the lives and property of New Yorkers everyday. I had an opportunity to drop by Engine 89 and Ladder 50 on Bruckner Blvd to say hi and discuss some of the local challenges that they are currently facing.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet with the constituents of my district and hear their viewpoints on what needs to be accomplished to improve our community!
The rhetoric, behavior, and antagonistic attitude being displayed at Columbia University has gone beyond a simple protest and into a blatant display of anti-Semitism.
This is unacceptable and intolerable - if we do not call out this behavior, we are also complicit.
Last night, we hosted an information session and discussion regarding the incoming Metro-North station.
I promised transparency, accountability, and communication- I will continue to work with our community to ensure that remains the standard.
Thank you to all that joined.
Thank you ACE for cleaning up Lydig Ave. We appreciate the phenomenal work done by ACE to keep our district clean.
We look forward to maintaining a continued partnership between ACE and our council district!
Our tribute at Peace Plaza was an absolute honor to join
It was an incredible moment to be able to honor our Vietnam Veterans for their service - especially as my first resolution was introduced for them and their service
We remember our fallen and honor those still with us 🇺🇸
Today is mom’s day!
Treat her to a great meal, buy her some flowers and let her know (repeatedly!) how much she means to you. Raising a child takes on more responsibility than any full-time job, and mom deserves to be treated like a queen everyday — especially today!🌹🌸🌺
Not even an earthquake will stop my office from fighting alongside our beloved seniors against budget cuts!
Our older adults are the epitome of our district’s history, traditions, and culture!
It’s time we give back and take care of them!

Today, your dedicated cops did what they do best 24/7, 365: answer NYers’ calls for help & protect the people of this city.
To them, I say: THANK YOU!

So proud to see District 13 vets advocating for Vet housing
Garcia pleads, “Please take a look at the Just Home initiative & … consider an alternate”
We have a need for veteran housing and our needs are NOT being met!
Saluting our fallen heroes on this Memorial Day, including my late Uncle Angel Ramirez. Today is about our veterans — acknowledging those who served in the line of duty to protect us and keep us safe, while putting their own lives on the line!
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, I want to give a huge thank you and moment of appreciation to the women on my staff!
Behind every woman in leadership, you will always find even more strong, independent, and powerful women uplifting her!
