Today, in the last day of session before the primaries, my opponent was the ONLY Democrat to vote yes on HB2169 - an education privatization bill funded by right wing billionaires.
I stand firmly against this bill, and any bill that takes money away from our public schools.
Unchecked gentrification across West Philly means developers prioritize high-end housing over affordable units. Increases in property taxes and rents threaten to displace long-term residents. It’s time to reverse this trend by investing in affordable housing and rent control.
Billionaires and the politicians they own want to privatize schools, bust unions and line their own pockets. I’m committed to fighting for working people, so I won’t take a dime from wealthy donors. We need politicians who want to help their communities, not mine them for profit.
Before the night is over, I just want to say thank you to every single person who supported my campaign, voted, donated, attended an event, volunteered, spent time canvassing, and worked the polls. Thank you to all the organizations, people and unions who endorsed this campaign.
My name is Cass Green. I’m a community organizer, artist, mother of two but with a family of many. And I’m running for State Representative to bring power back into our communities.
Join me:
This is not just a campaign, it's a movement. We can't keep trying the same thing expecting a different result.
In order to make real change - we all need to go to Harrisburg.
#CassGreenForPA
I am honored to have the support and endorsement of
@MichaelCoard
of the
@PhillyTrib
. Thank you for recognizing the community and philanthropy work that I’ve done throughout my life and career.
The illusion of “school choice” hurts our most disadvantaged students. When I get to Harrisburg, I will fight to fix our broken and unjust school funding system for ALL our students, not just those whose parents can pay for private schools.
We’re so excited for May Day that we’re celebrating it early! 🌹
Grab some food and chat with comrades. Hear from local labor activists, participate in zine-making, get a special protest screen print, and more.

I want to send a message of gratitude and thanks, and one that also talks about next steps. While we fell 145 votes short of securing the 10th State Rep seat, what we built together was beyond impressive.

As Muslims, families and community came together to mark the end of the Holy month of Ramadan across our City, Mill Creek experienced gun violence at its Eid Al-Fitr celebration today. This is shocking, saddening and disturbing.
📷Excited to announce the endorsement of
@paworkfamilies
! This endorsement means so much as I look to build a future where everyone has a chance to a better quality of life. Thank you for your continued support of progressive leaders.
#cassgreenforpa
As I fight for quality education in our public schools and beyond, real affordable housing, criminal justice reform, community informed education and investments, I am grateful to have the support of all the union and organizational endorsements we’ve received.
I am honored to have the endorsement of
@NikilSaval
, who is someone that exemplifies exactly what a progressive leader looks like.
While our districts only overlap slightly, I believe that our visions for a more just Philadelphia could not be more aligned.
We need more bold, fearless leaders like
@cassgreenforpa
in Harrisburg. I'm proud to be the first State Senator to announce support for her candidacy. With only six weeks until election day, join me in getting Cass & the movement over the finish line.
Private school vouchers divert our tax dollars from public schools to private schools that primarily benefit wealthy families and put an unfairly large price on a good education.
They worsen inequality, and they have no place in our state budget.
Had a great time last night at a fundraiser last night hosted by
@HelenGymPHL
and
@JamieGauthier1
- two women who inspire me greatly and whose support means the world to me.

I'm honored to have the endorsement of Transit Workers Union (TWU) Local 234, the union representing over 5,000 SEPTA bus drivers, trolley and subway operators, and mechanics! These are the working people who move us around Philadelphia to work, school, and recreation.
When kids have a stable place to live, they can focus better in school.
I’ll fight for both affordable housing and fully funded public schools because I know they’re not just connected—they’re pieces of the same puzzle, building communities where all of our kids can thrive.
I’m so excited to announce that my campaign has been endorsed by
@Krasner4DA
and
@TowardAbolition
. These endorsements are so meaningful to me because I’ve worked tirelessly throughout my career – including in DA Krasner’s office – to support REAL solutions to community safety.
Last Friday, I launched my campaign surrounded by my friends, family and loved ones.
It was a reminder of the strength that comes from a united community. I am so grateful to be running all of you - and believe this time we will deliver HD10 for the people.
It’s official! WE ARE ON THE BALLOT! Thank you for all the support this far. Now, we need you to vote May 17th in the New District serving Mantua, Mill Creek, Logan Square, Powelton, & Belmont!
#cassgreenforpa
#GoGreen
Huge news! Inspired by my vision for the 10th district,
@philly24thward
who represent neighbors in Powelton, Parkside and Mantua, have endorsed my campaign. I’m so thrilled to have their support, and welcome them into our movement for Peace, Power and Progress.

Finance Reports are out. Our opponent has received over 60,000 from billionaire Republican Jeffrey Yass, and over 40,000 from developers.
Help us prove that the new 10th house district isn't for sale. Donate today to elect a community leader.
#GoGreen
A great way to start the week talking to voters outside Samuel Powel school, where my daughters went.
I'm proud to be endorsed by
@PFTLocal3
,
@AFTPA
and will fight to make sure all students in the 10th and beyond have access to a quality education and a safe building.
I am grateful for the support of teacher unions like
@PFTLocal3
, and look forward to working alongside teachers, educators, and students to reform and reinvest in our public education system.
Canvassed this house today and met a Septa worker who gave us a yes! Ensuring that our transportation workers are protected, have better wages and safety is something I will continue to fight for. Vote for Cass Green on April 23rd. Press button 18

Our launch event was a HUGE success!
Thank you to everyone who braved the wind, snow, and hail to come to our launch event on Saturday. It was incredibly powerful to be in community with so many people working to make our city and state a better place for all.
#CassGreenForPA
Our campaign has been endorsed by
@nikilsaval
. I am proud to stand alongside you to continue to fight for working families, and invest in our communities, children and schools.
I am so excited to launch my campaign with the endorsements of the
@PAWorkFamilies
and my Councilmember
@CouncilmemberJG
, both of whom are fighting for progressive change in our city.
Thank you to my campaign team who worked tirelessly around the clock. I’m so humbled and blessed to have such a strong village behind me. We will continue to fight for the needs of the 10th District. We do this by continuing to work together.
#cassgreenforpa
Excited to announce that
@ronigreenfor190
has endorsed my campaign, and that I wholeheartedly support her campaign for the 190th as well.
Roni is a longtime union worker and organizer, and the kind of person I would be honored to work alongside in Harrisburg.
#GreenforGreen
So proud of all the union and organizational endorsements we've received in the past two months. This is kind of broad coalition I will bring with me to Harrisburg.

#FiveDays
Today’s the day! Happy Election Day 10th District. We’re ready to usher in Peace, Power and Progress at the polls today. Polls close at 8pm. You can find your poll here:
School vouchers, in whatever form, hurt our public schools. I am going to Harrisburg to fight to bring money into our public schools, not to divert it away to private institutions. We cannot have tax breaks at the expense of our students
#FundOurSchools
With the 57+ Blocks Coalition, I worked to support communities struggling with gun violence through youth diversion programs and restorative justice practices.
In Harrisburg, I’ll fight to reduce violence through investment, not mass incarceration.
We have amazing Art and Culture happening right in the 10th District. Thank you Ultra Silk Gallery and Silk Tent for making sure the arts are accessible in our community. As an artist myself, it’s important to make sure our community has ways to express themselves creatively.
I am so thrilled to announce that Councilmember
@KendraPHL
has endorsed our campaign! Together, we will work tirelessly to address systemic injustices, advocate for more affordable housing and good jobs with livable wages, & champion quality public education.
#cassgreenforpa
From working directly with our youth in West Philadelphia’s 10th District and beyond, I’ve seen first hand how the lack of investment, access to resources and opportunities for our youth can have a negative impact on quality education in our local schools.
Vote Cass Green for State Representative on April 23rd in the 10th District, which includes:
Mantua, Mill Creek, West Powelton, Belmont, Logan Square, Dunlap, and Haddington

BREAKING: Aramark workers at Wells Fargo Center have called for a STRIKE.
This means union members will not be: preparing food mixing drinks, vending food & alcohol,serving food and alcohol,no service in club lounges, no service in suites, no catering. Do not patronize Aramark!
I’m running because the people of Mantua, Mill Creek, West Powelton, Belmont, Logan Square, Dunlap, Cobbs Creek & Haddington deserve a voice in Harrisburg.
If I’m elected, I’ll hold regular roundtables to develop a vision for the 10th district together.
On this Earth Day, I am so excited to announce that our campaign has the support of
@sunrisephilly
. These young people are an inspiration - they are not afraid to demand bold climate action to reach the scale of the climate crisis.
I promise to fight for resources that will help Philadelphians thrive.
Giving young people accessible outlets for creative expression reduces violence, builds community, and fosters growth.
When we invest in the arts, we invest in our community.
This Monday morning I am grateful for leaders like
@RepKrajewski
who are NO votes on bills that take money out of our public schools and into voucher programs.
When I get to Harrisburg, you can count on me to always be a voice for public education.
#Newdistrict
#Newpossibilities
A bill I will be voting on this week in Harrisburg is an education
#privatization
bill misleadingly titled the Lifeline Scholarship Program. HB2169 takes money from already struggling public school districts and give it to private schools in the form of grants, or vouchers.
ENDORSEMENT ALERT! We've been endorsed by
@PFTLocal3
! This endorsement means a lot to me as I've spent many years in and around Philly public schools.
Ready to fight alongside PFT for the conditions our students and teachers deserve

On this
#MayDay2022

Couldn't ask for better Monday morning news - grateful to have the endorsement of a group like
@freetheballot
- that is on the ground working to build community political power in the fight to end mass incarceration and heal our communities.
@CassGreenForPA
is a community activist running for the newly created HD-10 in West Philly. She has pledged to fight new mandatory minimum sentences and to secure true healing justice for her community not more mass incarceration.
I want to give particular shoutout to the elected officials, who are a source of inspiration as they are already pushing the limits on what is possible in our City and State, who came to speak about my campaign -
@Krasner4DA
,
@kendraforphilly
,
@JamieGauthier1
, and
@HelenGymPHL
We are building a people powered campaign, and are not taking any money from corporate donors like Jeffrey Yass and Students First PAC. Can you chip in today with a $12.50 donation to our campaign?
Jeff Yass is swooping in to fund candidates running against socialists/progressives in Philly this year:
1) $25k to Anthony Williams (running against
@paul_prescod
)
2) $12.5k to Amen Brown (running against
@CassGreenForPA
)
3) $10k to James Wright (running against

I’m ecstatic to announce the endorsement of
@UNITEHEREPhilly
which represents 4000 food service and hotel workers at all three stadiums, hotels, & the Airport. I understand the struggles of everyday workers and will take to Harrisburg the mission to put working people first.
This morning, I met parents and students during drop-off at the Morton McMichael School, another outstanding school in the 10th District offering Career & Technical Education. I want to uplift my campaign team member Derrick, who volunteers by mentoring youth at McMichael.
Rain or shine (and its been rain!) we are out every day getting signatures to get on the ballot.
AND, we need you tor help .Join us this weekend on Saturday or Sunday to collect signatures from the 10th district community.

Our neighbors in poverty are unfairly criminalized, when the truth is that many of us are one paycheck away from being in their shoes.
We all deserve resources to not only survive, but thrive. That’s why I’ll fight for affordable housing, healthcare & education in Harrisburg.
We’re stronger when we band together to be catalyst for positive change. I’m grateful for the village that stands with me in ensuring that we have better quality education, affordable housing, public safety and criminal justice reform in the 10th District and beyond.
.
@SEIUPA
representing 80k workers across PA, has endorsed my campaign! I’m thrilled to have their support as I stand behind and will stand up for the people who work hard to make our schools function. I believe that together we can impact legislation and issues affecting workers.
In Celebration of Women’s History Month, yesterday’s brunch at Philadelphia’s new Z Seven Lounge at Blu Chantal’s on South Street was an amazing experience. I was inspired by all the phenomenal women in the room as we gathered to fellowship, network and share stories of triumph.
I’m an artist and a creative, so I know that true investment means more than just having our basic needs met—it means investing in the whole person and opportunities for our creative expression.
That’s why I’ll fight for arts and culture funding when I get to Harrisburg.
I am running because as a new district we have new possibilities. For too long we’ve had people in power who don't have a clear understanding of our communities' day-to-day experiences and who haven't prioritized our voices.
It's time for us take our power back.
I, Cass Green, am running for State Rep for the 10th District, which includes: Mantua, Mill Creek, West Powelton, Belmont, Logan Square, Dunlap, and Haddington

I am sad. I am angry. And I am ready to fight.
If Roe V. Wade is overturned, we know what is coming for us from Rs in the PA State House and Senate. They will come for every person's right to choose. We cannot let that happen.
Working people stand against corporate money! Glad to stand in solidarity with
@PAWorkFamilies
@reclaimphila
and others fighting for change in our city.
Much thanks to the
