Still cannot be overstated how beautiful this thing is. It’s such a well defined, almost cartoony art style but is still very anatomically correct and recognisable. The person who painted it also likely didn’t have a reference on hand lol but they still understood the anatomy.

@suundew My biggest criticism of that movie (which I still think is great) is that it doesn’t actually find a solution to Mirabel’s problem of “my family loves me but they subconsciously exclude me for not being special” which becomes “i need to prove I’m useful and I did” by the end.

@eye_moisturizer Yeah. In real life wheelchairs exist because they’re easily mass produced and the most simple solution, but even now people everywhere have trouble navigating with them. In a feudal fsntasy world they’d be extremely limiting, so other more interesting solutions are just cool.

Saw a lot of people talking about the use of wheelchairs in fantasy settings and their practicality and had the idea of making a magical/mechanical wheelchair. It looks and regular wheelchair for day to day settings but can turn into a mechanical scorpion for exploration.
