RIP Ms.Yvonne she was the first person to cut my hair when I got to NCCU. She was like a personal historian. She’d been cutting hair in Durham for decades. Even cut Michael Jordan and Sam Perkins hair. She was an amazing person and will be truly missed. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My Mother (right) was a teenage Mom & DV survivor. After an attempt on her life burning 90% of her body, causing her to lose half her leg, she raised myself & my 2 brothers. Saturday she completed her Masters program Summa Cum Laude. I’m so proud of her.
