Javier Milei repealed rent control a little over a month ago and the supply of housing doubled and the average price of rents went down by 25%!
WILL THE LEFT NOW ADMIT THAT THEY WERE DEAD WRONG?!?!
If you read Paul Samuelson’s Principles textbook in college you gotta forget all of that crap, read
@saifedean
Principles to understand sound economics from the Austrian School
The proper monetary policy is not having a monetary policy. The free market can handle the money supply just as easily as it can handle shoes and TV sets

Twitter dismiss economists out of hand—as if none of us have ever thought seriously about these things. 🙄
@FrancisSuarez
is without question the best mayor in the United States due to the fact that he’s making it so much easier for innovators and small business to get started.
If you wanna understand how government regulations ruin our lives for the worst I highly recommend
@PerBylund
amazing book
The Seen, the Unseen, and the Unrealized: How Regulations Affect Our Everyday Lives
Gotta give a shoutout to
@yaronbrook
for exposing me to Ayn Rand, reading her books has changed my life for the better. Her message is so powerful and liberating
Of course the free market can solve the housing crisis. The biggest factor in housing shortages is policies that restrict the supply while subsiding demand. This is not rocket science it’s BASIC economics
The free market can’t solve the housing crisis, but any social housing plan worth its salt must ensure that rents fall across the board, vacancy rates rise, and there are homes for all.
I’m so happy that
@NickSzabo4
gave
@GeorgeSelgin
and
@lawrencehwhite1
a shoutout for being key players in

intellectual development. Both Larry and George are some of the greatest monetary thinkers in the last 100 years 👍🏻
The SCOTUS "decision could expand the use of vouchers or undermine states' ability to set curricula for public education and has drawn sharp blowback from teachers' unions, including the NEA." Public schools need support.
I’m Jewish and a passionate Zionist. Having said that I don’t think there’s anyone who’s helped me better defend Israel than Ayn Rand. Her ideas are needed now more than ever!
@elanjourno
your book is a paradigm shifter for sure!
For 100 years libertarians have been sitting at the mountain top of high theory now we’re seeing our ideas in practice and achieving immediate and historic results
A financial surplus only two months into a libertarian presidency. A miracle.
Argentina previously ran extreme fiscal deficits, passing on the bill to the average Argentine through taxation and extraordinary inflation (over 100% year over year).
Bravo

America is waking up to a universal truth: If you want something to be great and diverse that’s important like education let competition bring us the best 👍🏻
Please follow
@AsraNomani
she’s giving us real time information on what’s happening in Virginia. Not letting students know they got a award to help them get scholarships in the name “ equity” is outrageous
When I say “capitalism,” I mean a full, pure, uncontrolled, unregulated laissez-faire capitalism—with a separation of state and economics, in the same way and for the same reasons as the separation of state and church.

Reading the works of
@GeorgeSelgin
and
@lawrencehwhite1
completely changed how I thought about money and banking! I’m now an outspoken advocate of free banking
The best thing about

is that the world is discovering Capitalism, it’s never existed before for one simple reason. You can’t have a pure free market if the lifeblood of an economy money itself is controlled by the state
Just finished reading this BRILLIANT book! I can summarize
@RandyEBarnett
thesis in one sentence. First comes our natural inalienable individual rights, then comes government to secure those rights.
The right to earn a living is deeply rooted in history and essential to a free society, full self-ownership, innovation, progress, and the pursuit of happiness.
The philosophical reason for which we are against nationalization and for private enterprise is because we believe that economic progress comes from the inventiveness, ability, determination and the pioneering spirit of extraordinary men and women.
Rothbardians are great in pointing out the evils that the state practices but when it comes to banking they’re pretty bad! There’s nothing wrong with fractional reserve banking, it’s only bad when you have a central bank supplying the fuel
@primalpoly
@CaitlinLong_
If you have a fractional reserve banking system with a central bank it’s a problem. Historically free banking systems aka no central bank or govt deposit insurance worked very well. Adam Smith wrote about this in Wealth of Nations.
Well I’m very happy to hear that people are starting to wake up in regarding the Federal Reserve, their evil policies are destroying people’s lives
#ENDTHEFED
Bitcoiners who shit on fractional reserve banking need to stop reading Rothbard and his followers only! Read free banking giants such as
@GeorgeSelgin
and
@lawrencehwhite1
and let’s not forget Hal Finney himself endorsed free banking for

Banks must be trusted to hold our money and transfer it electronically, but they lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve. We have to trust them with our privacy, trust them not to let identity thieves drain our accounts.
Randi Weingarten: "Our kids are in crisis. And we had a mental health crisis before COVID .. but for two years of disruption, two years of looking at the screens, two years of not having a normal kind of routine and rhythm, recovery is really tough."
@cafreiman
I wasn’t alive to see the fall of the Berlin wall, so it’s really cool to see a country transition from socialism into capitalism in real time
Murray Rothbard was WRONG about trashing fractional reserve banking. Fractional reserve banking is only problematic when you have a central bank supplying the fuel
If you’re a Rothbardian who thinks fractional reserve banking is immoral and fraudulent ( it’s not) than I highly recommend reading
@Austro_Punk
he’s just like Henry Hazlitt is making things that seem complex so simple
Reading
@ConLawWarrior
book Terms of Engagement, and now I’m convinced everyone who concerned with the growth of government should read it, to see how the Constitution was lost and how we can bring it back
Just read
@RandyEBarnett
paper on an Unified Theory of Originalism, and it’s one of the most brilliant essays on jurisprudence in modern American history, I truly believe the Founders would have appreciated it
Most Bitcoiners had no idea that free market money was possible. Legends like
@lawrencehwhite1
and
@GeorgeSelgin
have been advocating and writing about monetary laissez faire since the 1980s. We Bitcoiners need to be thanking them for their pioneering work
The fact that journalists compare Milei to Trump is pathetic. Journalists don’t know the differences between classical liberals and conservatives but that doesn’t surprise me since journalist’s understanding of philosophy is on par with a toddler
Me: I’m qualified to teach economics at Harvard
My friend: No you’re not
Me: Harvard trained economists told FDR that the way to solve the problem of mass unemployment was to create a food shortage….yet somehow these people got hired there
