Pick a very short book, for example a Shakespeare Play, and master it. Read it 15 times. Make it a part of your being. Know the book better than anyone. This is surprisingly doable and more people should do it. Then do it again. And again.

An (accurate) critique of practical Christianity from the political right is that it effeminates its proponents. This happens to those who interpret Christianity wrongly, but it is not what Christ wants. Letโ€™s look at Shakespeareโ€™s ideal Christian man: Macduff. 1/

"being weird" is characterized by being unintelligible or off-putting to the average normal person. so when a normal person tries to be weird, they naturally just become unintelligible and off-putting - because from their point of view (outside of it), thats what being weird is.

I didnโ€™t know about the newest stain glass window at Westminster Abbey until the last time I visited and saw it. I was seated next to it during the evening service. Imagine: these two windows are housed in the same church.

I like when the government is like "erm, sir? You can't just GO to Mars. There is PAPERWORK to be filed, BUREAUCRATS to be consulted." No one can stop you, Elon. Leave the planet. What are they going to do? Pursue you with their martian rocket?

This man has been holed up in the Miskatonic University library, no pillow but the blasphemous Necronomicon, no promocode but the unearthly utterance of beings outside of space. He has seen. He has BEEN seen. He cannot do other than dread. No comfort for the dealer of comfort.

Cold water is much more lindy than room temperature. Water from the well, spring, or creek is always cold. You're not decadent for disliking lukewarm water, it's your blood memory warning you to avoid the probable parasites in the standing water it thinks you're drinking.

Cannot be repeated enough. THE model for RW media today is the show White Lotus. If you cannot already see this your eyes are shut.

I agree but it can never be explicitly political โ€ฆthatโ€™s a sermon not art and no one likes to be lectured during a movie.

Trump is retreating to the "center" on abortion for the sake of suburban women. It doesn't matter if you like it. Stop griping, you all look foolish. We have this election in hand. He'll be surrounded by the right people. Get him in office and trust the man who got Roe repealed.
