Six years ago today Colin Davidson, Silent Testimony opening to the public at the
@UlsterMuseum
So honoured to have been involved in curating such a powerful and emotive exhibition. It will be back on display this Autumn.
25 years ago today I started working at the
@UlsterMuseum
There have been many, many highs with a few lows, but I still love my job and wouldn’t change it for the world.
Today has been very emotional as 5yrs ago I got really terrible news. Today I discharged from my consultant. I cannot thank Dr Hunter and her team at the RVH enough. She fought for me to have pioneering treatment in Bristol to check if the cancer had spread. 1/2
Just devastated. This is how I will remember
@KimLenaghan
doing what she did best. You were the life, soul and Queen of the party. Rest easy beautiful one. Love to Andrew, Mabel and the family, from the other Kim
Three years ago the
@NHS
sent me to Bristol to have pioneering surgery unavailable here after having being diagnosed with cancer. Ever since I have been monitored and seen, even throughout Covid, every 8 weeks. I am so thankful to all the doctors & staff

I was in multi cultural and liberal Athens Georgia the night he was elected and people were openly crying on the streets.
It led from the beginning and can now be finally crowned the Best Traybake, I give you the Caramel Square👏👏👏

🖼️ To celebrate our Bicentenary, we are lending 12 of our most iconic paintings to venues across the UK, including some works that have never been lent before.
📍 The 12 displays will open on 10 May 2024, our 200th anniversary:
Well two years on and
@belfastairport
is still as bad as ever. Security queues ridiculous, no social distancing and the food is so expensive.

I may be the author but ‘Troubles Art’ was a huge team effort. Thanks to everyone involved, at the
@UlsterMuseum
, as well as, all the individual artists who creatively interpreted what we lived through. Cover illustration: ‘Peace Talks’ by Jack Pakenham, 1992.
'Troubles Art' by

Unfortunately no sneaky pictures from inside today, but all I can say is WOW! The new Tropical Ravine is stunning! Such a privilege to have
@cailinlynn
show the
@UlsterMuseum
staff around.
RIP Charlie Lavery you complete Belfast Legend. I was lucky to interview him a few years ago for the
@UlsterMuseum
about what it was like during the Troubles. Here’s me in the Back Bar mid eighties.
10 years ago Art of the Troubles opened to the public,
@UlsterMuseum
, changing the direction of my career. I am still in awe of the response we had to the exhibition & so grateful to the artists who let us show their work.
‘Art can tread where words and politics often can’t’
Brian Kennedy (SBK) former Keeper of Art at the
@UlsterMuseum
, Belfast passed away this afternoon. He will always be remembered for his seminal work ‘Irish Art & Modernism’.
Just horrendous! This sculpture always made me smile as I drove past it. Whoever did this, please just put it back or leave it to be found in a safe place. It is much more than just metal.
Disgusted that the sculpture by Daniela Balmaverde has been stolen from outside Ormeau Road Library. This artwork is a wonderful feature of the area and is cherished by the local community. It's beyond belief that anyone would do this. I hope it's recovered and returned soon.
Looking forward to installing
@colin_davidson
Silent Testimony this week at the
@NPGLondon
. Thanks to our
@UlsterMuseum
technicians for preparing the paintings for their travels.
Opens to the public 22 April. Don’t miss seeing this highly emotive exhibition if you are in London

Everyone is on the wall now and waiting for their spotlights tomorrow.
@colin_davidson
#SilentTestimony
will look stunning when it opens to the public at the

on Monday. It is such a privilege to be part of this emotive exhibition.
I actually ironed this shirt when we had it on display in the Starstruck exhibition at the
@UlsterMuseum
in 2011, curated by
@hannah_m_crowdy
and myself.
Colin Firth's wet shirt from Pride and Prejudice sells at auction for £25,000
Just finished

. To be honest it was really upsetting and utterly brilliant. Totally understand why
@WAVETrauma
were involved. Congratulations to the whole cast, crew and production.
There was light at the end of a very long tunnel. So sorry that Jonathan Bardon, who ran this brilliant account did not get to see it. He should be remembered in some way in the new development for his love of Belfast Architecture

Now that we know that there will be an election, potentially sooner than expected, could all the political parties agree a poster amnesty. Nobody votes here by looking at scary big faces.
OMG that was so beyond brilliant! When I didn’t think you could up your game anymore
@LisaMMcGee
knocked it out of the Brandywell and Celtic Park.

It is so important that this emotive exhibition, first displayed at the
@UlsterMuseum
is shown internationally. It’s message of the consequences of conflict and the people who have suffered loss is universal.
Massive label for a teeny tiny exquisite and exceptionally rare jewel found by a metal detectorist in a Fermanagh field. Now on display thanks to the Friends of the

Very sad news to wake up to this morning. Such an amazing woman. Lindy Guinness, Lady Dufferin, was not only an artist but also a huge supporter of the arts. As a business woman she transformed the Clandeboye estate making the best yogurt ever, from her Holstein and Jersey cows.

Could we all just agree that if one political party pulls out of government that the rest all just get on with it, without them. It would make everything a lot easier.
