As part of the upcoming Ríocht production a new mural is being painted on the walls of Kevin's clubhouse on Donore Avenue and we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to have their say via this Google form, which takes less than 1 minute
President Michael D. Higgins & Sabina Higgins welcome Kevins Hurling & Camogie Club to Áras an Uachtaráin’s (in Dublin 8) celebration of Limerick Hurling & UNESCO 2018 Hurling/Camogie intangible cultural heritage. “Sabina, this is our local hurling club”, he said. Thank you!
Well done and thank you to all involved in progressing the much needed multi sports pitch in St Teresa’s Gardens including the local councillors, Sporting Liberties groups and members of the local community. Ní neart go cur le chéile!
Anyone know who this wonderful individual is, taking a gaggle of kids somewhere, in full hurling gear?
Spotted in Dublin. Saw a few visitors beaming with pleasure as he cycled past...

Will 2019 be the year when you start to play

again, after years away? “Social Hurling” is springing up across the country - and with
@KevinsHurling
- video below
In devastating detail, Prof Gerald Mills
@UCD_Geography
calmly laid out the facts. Dublin’s south inner city has >50,000 people, a large number of children (6114), & lowest ratio of green space per child (33m2). It is the worst-93rd out of 93-Dublin City GAA club for facilities.
Dublin’s south inner city community heard from experts in population and spatial planning, in social justice, and from passionate hurling & Camogie coaches. Our children need all the playing spaces we have, not more apartments that diminish the district’s oldest sports facility
The club WhatsApp groups have kicked into overdrive. Some lads are more concerned about the “tight fitting” element of the jersey than
@DermotTodayFM
and
@DaveTodayFM
mugs. We expect full attendance at training as they scramble to fit into them 😂

We have come to the end of another successful November cup .
Over the last 4 weeks we had 16 clubs 56 matches and over 1300 children playing hurling and camogie in dolphin park.
Well done to all coaches volunteers & a very big thank you to all our visitors.
Dublin 8 has a lack of green space and playing pitches. This is not good enough for our young people and wider society. I raised this in the Dáil and will continue to raise this until adequete facilities are made available.
Great win for Kevins Hurling in Leinster League Final, Wexford Park
Kevins (Dublin) 3-17
Avondale (Wicklow) 1-8
Kevins did us proud, hard luck to Avondale
Prof Gerald Mills, UCD Geography stuns the audience with some facts about the sheer lack of green spaces in Dublin inner city - and Kevins are easily the worst served GAA club in Dublin, 93rd out of 93!
Nollaig shona agus athbhliain faoi mhaise ó gach duine i Cumann Baire Caoimhín. Enjoy the festive season and don't forget to chill out. We will be back in January for our 118th season.

Kevin's 1st gathering on the pitch was in Nov 1902. We were one of the 1st Dublin clubs to setup a nursery over 100 yrs ago. This is how it started… Pop down to our nursery tomorrow in Loreto at 10.25am to see how it's going. New comers welcome, but COVID-19 controls apply.
It was a busy weekend for our Camogie teams, as we won our 1st minor title. Many of these minor girls coach at the clubs nursery and are responsible for the next wave of players who were playing in the u8 November Cup yesterday

A super all round performance from our under 13 girls. Player of the game went to Lucy Doyle (pictured with a proud mammy)! Skipper Skye summed it up well when she thanked the mentors and parents for getting this far!
