Here's a fun piece of gaming history I just received; the original oil painting used for the US cover of Lone Wolf Book #9 "The Cauldron of Fear" published in 1988. Author Joe Dever set these adventures in Magnamund, his own personal OD&D campaign setting that he created in 1976.

Unbelievable score at Half Priced Books today! They had a Moldvay Basic Set behind locked glass for $90. I asked to look at it and when they handed it to me I instantly realized that it was heavier than it should have been. I removed the lid & look what was inside!!! #DnD #OSR
