Unfortunately some people can’t deal with facts - just emotion. Demonstrated by No bunting being ripped down in Adelaide this morning. #Referendum2023

We must deliver outcomes for the people who can't participate in the economy because many of the services that are set up to assist them are failing. A permanent, divisive, risky Voice is not the answer. We need accountability, not unchecked activism.

I support Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s calls for a parliamentary joint taskforce to be established to review the effectiveness of working with children checks, and to carry forward, as a matter of urgency, the establishment of a national child sex offenders registry.

@Anthonywodillon Anthony NT Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations have repeatedly asked for bans to be reinstated. They asked Minister Burney to intervene but their polite request remains ignored.

It doesn’t matter how many doors yes23 knocks on, the PM is not providing any detail about how the Voice will work. It is not a simple proposition, it’s altering our Constitution, it’s risky, divisive and permanent. #DontKnowSayNo

As The Australian reported today, the PM's story on Voice and treaty is constantly changing. Australians are being asked to vote for a permanent change to our Constitution without clarity or detail. If you don't know, say no. #VoiceToParliament #VoteNo @SarsIson @rosieslewis

Last weekend, Christine Middap at The Australian wrote a piece on my story and why I will be saying NO to the Voice. If you want to find out more about me and why the Voice will fail to solve the everyday problems afflicting Indigenous Australians, you should give it a read!

I spoke in support of @JNampijinpa motion highlighting the PM’s failure to address the serious alcohol related crime across the NT. This failure was the 7 months of blaming and waiting for others to act when this Government could have. @TheNTNews @SkyNewsAust @australian

There is no room for personal attacks or racism in the Voice debate. No Australian should be silenced. Statements like “being on the right side of history” are laden with guilt. No one should receive abuse for speaking out for quality information. @australian @paigeataylor

How can former Minister, Ken Wyatt demand the Liberal Party take a position on the Voice when the Advisory Group, of which he is a member, is still deliberating on detail. #detailbeforedecision @australian @lauraplacella

The hangover from removing the Cashless Debit Card remains for #Ceduna residents but @AlboMP is focussing today on Adelaide. Having myself visited the west coast recently, I know the industries want to be heard, as do locals on funding for regional roads and cost of living.

The JSC on ATSI Affairs heard this week that the NT rivers of grog are flowing, booze-related assaults, DV and crime skyrocket. A result of the collision course of the #StrongerFutures ending and the #CashlessDebitCard being axed. @australian @abcnews @TheNTNews

Back to Parliament for one day for the Treasury Laws Amendment Bill. This Bill has not been subject to consultation, has questionable impacts on inflation, and is unlikely to materially impact on power prices. Stay tuned. Senate Sitting from 1 pm EST #Santos #BeachEnergy   #FIFO

This morning the Education and Employment Committee is still hearing from stakeholders yet, IR legislation has passed the Lower House and is now in the Senate. Labor is ramming through its IR Reforms with out adequate consultation with Australian businesses. #auspol

Labor’s ill conceived legislation to abolish the Cashless Debit Card is being introduced to the Senate this week. I remain steadfast against the axing of this important tool which provides support to some of the most vulnerable men, women and children.

We asked for detail, and they gave us an advertisement without any. I am focussed this week on how Labor is introducing legislation in the Senate to axe the Cashless Debit Card, which will reduce safety for the most vulnerable in communities.

In Canberra today Labor is pushing through their poorly developed Cheaper Child Care Bill. It will benefit wealthy communities but won’t provide any more access opportunities to childcare for struggling families particularly in regional and remote communities. More to come …

Labor is jumping to the demands of their union paymasters, risking thousands of Australian jobs. Ramming through these IR reforms will have devastating consequences on a sector worth over $5.4 billion annually to South Australia and $413 billion in exports to the nation. #auspol
