@MirrorPolitics People working 2 jobs don't have time for such silly suggestions. Wrapping paper is very cheap if you know where to buy it. The issue is having nothing to wrap in the 1st place. You also assume people can afford places large enough to store last years Xmas wrap (encourages damp)

Languishing on benefits because of ill health, caring duties, disability, solo parenting & struggling to find work that understands these needs is not something people would prefer over decent wages, secure housing & stable food

@LauraSmithCrewe 100% this. Juggling shopping budgets, debtors and things that can't be avoided (school uniforms, white goods etc) dividing everything into want vs need, conditioning the kids never to ask for things that cost, making them think everyone does hand-me-downs, comparing £V£RYTHING 😞
