For context it sounds like she’s part of the 50% of long covid sufferers who meets the diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS, an as-yet incurable disease with few treatment options, that often gets worse over time. Another ME patient died by euthanasia yesterday, a not uncommon outcome.

@amandalhu I have covid now, but I never ever produce a positive test. So I don’t know how to tell when it’s safe to unmask at home around my partner-caretaker, who I need to remain healthy!! No CDC guidance for this. Honestly I’ll prob keep it up for like a month? Based on these tweets.

Also in the future people will claim to be surprised by the breadth of the long covid problem and say things like “back then we had no idea,” and that is absolutely false. We are letting a mass disabling virus circulate freely, the implications are staggering.

@ramsincanon @fivefifths Yes! Also as Robin DiAngelo's new book White Fragility describes, white people are (incorrectly) assumed to be "free" of race. That's something other groups have, we're the default setting. So those euphemisms are victim blame-ie, too.
