Hybe wasn’t built overnight either. Big Hit was founded in 2005. BTS debuted 2013. Big Hit bought companies and reincorporated as Hybe in 2021. KQ (7 years old) had 10 employees when they formed Ateez with 10 employees. It has 2 groups and close to 100 employees. Ateez built it.

@AizeeClay Even worse he has now lost two grandparents in such a short time. That’s a lot on his emotional plate. Just hope all his travels go well and he gets time to grieve as he needs. Grief is tough and I’m glad he is loved by his band members because he deserves a lot of hugs.

@HVPNOSlS Nothing will ever beat the impact and artistry of Thriller. And I also think MJ wrote better songs and could outdance her on 1 foot. Keeping in mind streaming didn’t really exist when he was performing. Just imagine an album like Thriller getting released in the age of streaming.

@etherealsanie I thought it was funny that team bunny didn’t find a single treasure chest. San was definitely mad. Yunho is usually super competitive but was more aware of cameras. I actually loved how team bunny would just go while team Peongtiny would make a plan first-Personalities at work.

KQ has a current market cap of 40M. Ranked 14th (it didn’t make top 20 when Ateez debuted). When Ateez debuted they had 10 staff now close to 100. Size wise it is moving into mid size. JYPE has a MC of 3.7B. And is the 2nd largest company.

@zkdlinhwa Truth. I really hate the TikTokification of music. And I find so many of the viral songs (not all but a vast majority) bore me musically. What I’ve always loved about Atz music is there are so many layers and little musical tidbits and they’re masters of the bridge.

@crazyform_ I think fans of big company groups don’t grasp just how hard it is for a small co group to even get on a show much less win. Their groups are like the legacy admission to Harvard-doesn’t mean they aren’t smart but they got in without having to worry about getting admitted.

I notice 2 things-one they’ve really dialed back the backtrack. I think they’ve also all gotten more comfortable with adlibs and changing things up. Eg Yeosang has added a little growl to some of his parts. They look confident and unafraid to push outside the studio version.
