Get this... there are coaches out there actually mad at this and making fun of this. Nobody cares more about OTHER people’s programs more than a bitter S&C coach.
It’s my responsibility to tell an athlete when their behavior is not in line with what they say their goals are. Tough conversations sometimes. I refuse to let these kids lie to themselves.
Do lunges hurt your knees? Do you skip out on single leg exercises because of your cranky knees?

question I get is how do we separate ourselves from the “competition.” The reality is, I spend NO time thinking about what other gyms/athletes are doing. 100% ALL-IN on the athletes, people, staff in front of me daily.
Had a well-known fitness equipment brand steal my content. Used it in paid ads w/o my permission, or the PRO athlete featured. Didn’t pay me a dime. Had to call them out twice to get a response & the response was they thought it would be good exposure. EXPOSURE DOESN’T PAY BILLS!

As a coach, athlete & person I’ve always felt like if I’m down 30 and there’s still time on the clock, I’m going to win the game. Literally and figuratively. There are a lot of small biz owners, like myself, and just people in general down 30 right now. Win your game.
A decent training program done consistently will get you better results than the best program done sporadically. Athletes, consistency is key. Stick to a plan. See it through. Hopping from gym to gym, trainer to trainer, etc is not going to allow you to maximize results.
Before 8am, I forgot my computer, forgot my contacts, dropped the kids off late to school & my lunch busted open in my bag and spilled on my clothes.... but I’m bout to have the best day ever still.

Some coaches want to prove how smart they are. Some coaches want to train the most elite athletes. Some coaches want to make the most money. I simply want all of my athletes to remember me as a dude who always had their back.

The reason I’m able to be a husband, father, business owner, coach, mentor and navigate this crazy world we live in without little-to-no-stress in my life is because I spend exactly zero time & energy trying to be someone I’m not.
One time I had a weight loss client tell me his worst nutrition habit was making “Doritos Nachos” before bed. It took everything in my soul to try to educate him on why that isn’t a great choice without being like, “daaaaamn that sounds fire!!!”

I accidentally knocked over a container of sprinkles and spilled them all over the floor. Now my 2 year old is on hands & knees licking them off the ground and I’ve never been more proud of the young man he’s becoming.
