Happy World
#EnvironmentDay2023
! As we celebrate this day, let's remember that protecting our earth is not only our joy and happiness, but also our great duty. By taking small steps every day, we can make a big impact in preserving our planet for future generations.
This is the happiest thing I happened to see thid Friday morning. After a long and devastating drought, the spring rains have finally begun. Alhamdullilah.
... وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا ﴿
Mogadishu is recovering from the devastation of the 1991 civil war.
The tragic events of that time were to be made a symbol of unity. It’s not good that after 30 yrs of suffering, we threaten ourselves today that we’ll return to the civil war in 91, which is very disappointing.
The biggest community-led project in Gedo region. The Waadi Kurman Bridge in Bardera.
“A bridge 30 meters long, 11 meters wide & 3.75 feet high. The bridge will have 246 long road with half of it being concrete on both sides with 116 long handrail with two sidewalks.” (1/4)👇🏼
Goobweyn is a mysterious, & 1 of the most naturally beautiful spots in🇸🇴.Think magnificent of Goobweyn, it is a colorful village. The river & the ocean meet there. I shot this clip ystrdy, on an outing I took to it. Just make sure u explore before everyone u know beats you to it.
For the first time, a ship docked at Gara'ad port in the Mudug region, Puntland. This project was established through community engagement and it's here today. The rest of Somalis should learn from the people of Puntland. A lot can be done in unity

This is their 6th consecutive

campaign. They gave me PPE & volunteered.

Mogadishu is a thriving city in the Horn of Africa. During the Civil War, horrific incidents were documented. Mogadishu is rebuilding & reviving its former glory.
However, the label of the IC & the media as one of the most dangerous cities persists.
#Mogadishu
is safe.

It's really shocking how devastating this drought is. This morning I received a call from Hambawe near Fafahdhun Gedo, stating that 2 kids & an old woman had died due to dehydration. Wells have dried up, animals r depleted, & now pple r being reported dead for 2nd time in 2 weeks
Finally, Adeer Jeilani whom we have campaigned to get him an automated wheelchair has ended a success. Jeilani has been an encouragement to the weekly

thanks to everyone who has donated a penny to make Jeilani’s dream come true.

This is 🇸🇴 and has such beautiful places that can be useful for tourism, these photos are the beaches of the coastal town of Eyl in the Nogal region. Imagine if this was to be built for tourism. Somalia is a rich country, but its people don't take advantage of it📸Geenyada Madow.
Thankfully, this is the Juba River in Bardera that has dried up due to a devastating drought that hit the region hard. As the locals were due to perform the Qunoot prayer this morning, the river began to flow. This river has never dried up before..
The sky is getting darker, the rain is pouring, listening to the sound of the rain, like a tens of thousands of lions roaring. I am enjoying this beautiful scene... Masha’Allah.
A breathtaking view of Mogadishu. Retweet to reveal the beautiful areas of the capital that are not shown to the outside world

The region of Gedo is home to a variety of farming practices & crops. The region’s goodness to the grazing lands of the Southern Somalia made it an important center for livestock. A great place to learn. This was my visit to the farms of Bardera district yesterday.

I remember in 2020 after the release of the national exams, this kid Qasim Salad made the headlines as he was among the ten students of that school year. If the scholarship opportunities found had been administered fairly, Qasim would have been a university student by now.1/3
The first water tank vehicle was sent this morning to the arid areas of Gedo region,
@GedoGovernor
and
@BaardheereDC
were present at the point where the work of the drougt relief committee was launched. There is also scarcity of water tank vehicles in the region.

Somalia's fishing industry is largely unexploited due to difficult access among others. To bridge this, the government has to encourage investment in the industry. With a vibrant fishing sector exploiting the great potential of the coast, youth will get decent job opportunities.
This is a new school that laid the foundation stone soon, its in Gariley town & it is under construction, so far 3 classrooms and two toilets have been built, construction has now stopped due to a lack of funding

this was the only hope in the town of Gariley. 1/1
The grace of God has fallen in Gedo, Bardera, Balat-Hawa & Dollow, which seems to have ended the harsh droughts that have ravaged the region over the past 2 months, this sounds good to pastoralists and the people in the urban areas that have had hot weather recently.
@SahraCabdi
Reports from Wargadudo village of Gedo indicate that the humanitarian situation is at its worst. The water well there is said to have dried up. Wargadudo is connected to a large area inhabited by the Nomads, and the only well they used to draw water has dried up.

Disturbing footage reveals the immense scale of the Jubba River flooding in Buurdhuubo Gedo. An entire neighborhoods has been engulfed by the floodwaters. Gedo is grappling with ElÑino flooding as other cities within the region have seen an increase in River waters today.

A serious humanitarian situation has been reported in most of the villages & towns in Gedo region, nomads & those far from the river areas are in dire need of water. The government & all other donors are requested to help provide assistance to those in need.

Latest photos from the remote countryside of Gedo the hardest-hit area in the southern part. These pictures give you an example of the drought situation in Gedo region. Thousands of livestock have depleted and people are on the brink of famine. This drought is devastating. 1/2

It is now raining in Mogadishu, following a severe drought that has wiped out livestock & left the rural population living in dire straits. Rains are now being reported in many parts of Somalia. In post-drought situations, people need medicine and food.

The Pics you see is the Juba River that dried up. Juba River is the largest & most watered river in the country. This has resulted in prolonged periods of droughts & water shortage. People who were already dealing with starvation are now suffering another serious hardship.

Thanks to the brothers & sisters of the 🇸🇴 community in Columbus, Ohio, USA, they sent an amount of $59,211 to the Bardera Flood Response Committee. Floods along the Juba River have been recurring for many years, causing extensive damage to the residents & their properties.
This journey appears to have begun with reconciliation and acceptance. Fighting the existing FMS and installing new ones was a large part of the former administration's agenda and took up more time. This grassroots reconciliation by President

Meat is the most valuable animal product & for many people it’s the source of their 1st choice for animal protein.Think about Somalia-certified halal camel meat in supermarket shelves in Scandinavia, EU & USA to GCC countries. It would mean jobs, peace & stability in this nation.
I am deeply saddened by the devastation caused by heavy rains in

Gedo has suffered several times from severe drought, & the first thing they need during droughts is safe drinking water. Providing wells to the remote villages in Gedo removes the danger & difficulty of searching for water, providing water means providing so much

Just in case you didn't know, Somalia was Africa’s capital of bananas. The banana market is an approximate value of 31 billion. Russia alone consumes 1.1 B dollars annually, 90% of which are from Ecuador, imagine that Ecuador to Russia is 13,363 km & Somalia to Russia is 7,909 km
Imagine how many times in a day you take a shower while you have a place to hide. The little baby may not have taken a pathe for weeks, perhaps because of her parents are afraid of washing compared to soaking her throat. This image describes the current situation in Gedo region.

I didn’t that federalism was good for Somalia, until recently I found it well suited, especially in times of political stalemate. An unpleasant situation was occurring in Mogadishu, but no other city was affected. Garowe, Kismayo, Baidoa Dhusamareb and Jowhar were very quiet.

Barre & Farmajo are two different individuals who live at different times, Siyad was very powerful in his days, people like you did not have the courage to talk about him, but he is not alive and it is better to leave those who cannot respond to you. Farmajo is there you say it.
The worsening
