Mom to rescue kitties Trooper & Gracie. Also mom to Daisy the beagle. Our beloved Mabel, Sunny, & Sharky have sadly left us. All flower pics from our garden.
2nd kitty blankie, made from scrap & gifted yarn. These will go to a shelter so a frightened kitty can have a blankie of their own, to take to their forever home. I know money is tight, but if you have yarn left from a project this is a cheap way to help animals in need.
If you have an outdoor/feral cat you're looking after, this is an easy way to make a shelter to help them survive the winter. They need all the help we can give them. We weighed the whole thing down with a cinder block because my husband had one, to keep it from blowing away.
Our dear boy Sharky. He’s slipping away from us. I’m very blessed to be able to have worked from home the last week or so as needed. Please think a good thought for him, as we go through this process. Thank you. 🙏
If anyone on Twitter who sees this would like to retweet, I don’t know how to link to the Facebook post but they are at Lil Roar Cat Rescue (name of Facebook page too) in Virginia Beach VA. They are spayed, have all shots, and have been hand raised in a home together. Thank you💖
Lorraine is the kitty we trapped and took to the rescue. Since she hasn’t yet been adopted we sponsored she and her friend CiCi’s adoption in the hope they will get a home together now. Fingers crossed!
My beagle Daisy is currently on steroids for an allergic skin reaction. We don’t yet know quite what or why, but we have noticed she has become very aggressive. Having taken them myself they don’t make me feel good. Does anyone know…is this common? Thanks.

Would kitten chow be easier for him? Smaller kibbles. And also just add a little water and let it soften. But as his gums heal he may be able to eat regular kibble again. My kitty who had no teeth could. The vet said that’s usually what happens. She lived 5 years with no teeth.
We lost our dear Sunny tonight. She was a very old girl and she didn’t suffer. I held her in my arms and she knew she was loved. She’s free now but I will miss her terribly. Here she is in happier days.💖
@lizaadamczewski
Everyone is different. I’ve always done rescues but when my husband retired he wanted a beagle like the one he had as a kid. She’s a beautiful (horrible) dog & they need homes too! I hope you find a beautiful (horrible) puppy just right for you! 🙏 (horrible) dog in my lap. 😉
I’m very sorry to say that we lost our beloved Mabel last night. She got out thru a door that was left ajar, and we found her this morning hit by a car. I brought her home and she’s buried in the backyard. She will be in our hearts forever. RIP my dear girl💖
Well I guess it’s time…to admit my husband brought home a Beagle puppy. She’s 9 weeks old today and her name is Daisy. The cats aren’t thrilled and the ferret (whom we have made sure is safely away from her) doesn’t like her one bit! But as you can see she’s adorable!
It’s hard to see but this is the start of a special baby blanket for my boss, expecting his first child in June. It’s a pearly white with a silver thread running thru it. I’m not the best crocheter but I hope they will appreciate the good wishes this is made with. 😊
My husband went to the farm today to pick some more strawberries and the farmer sent him home with a free cabbage. It’s 3 feet across!!! I’m now looking for 50 ppl to make coleslaw for. 😳
@AnneLouiseAvery
Block and report them. There are a lot of very bad things going on in the world today and your tweets are one of the things so many of us turn to for joy. Don’t let anyone stop you. We’re with you.🙏

Thank you. I’m thankful for your people and their steel determination to fight evil no matter what. You have the support of so many people all over the world, because what you’re doing is right. 🙏

I believe! We managed to catch a tiny feral kitten tonight after trying for a week and she/he will be taken to shelter that specializes in feral cats, so she/he will hopefully have a bright future with a family that loves her. Cross your paws please. 💖

I plant tropical milkweed every year here in my garden in Virginia. We see Monarchs all summer and get lots of caterpillars. They need milkweed to survive and even a few plants in every garden would help.
2 weeks ago we lost our kitty Boop, a stray who moved into Joe’s workshop where she lived in much luxury, heat/a/c music movies carpet beds brushes and much love from Joe. We lose them but they’re never forgotten.💖
@AlysonMeadowcr1
We make one like this for our stray but she ignored it and moved right into my husband’s shed. Right next to the heater...she’s a clever one!
This is the outside cat who has decided my husband’s workshop is her new home. Just out of the frame is the new heater he installed for her. I’m guessing she’s not moving any time soon lol
Here’s the feral kitten we caught. It was left alone and starving in a yard, so we fed it and were finally able to catch it last night. This morning it’s on the way to a shelter that specializes in rescuing feral cats, where I hope it will eventually be adopted to a loving home.

Trooper is my senior cat, although to be honest I adopted him as a tiny orphan. But he’s 13 years old now, and especially with a new puppy in the house is showing his “cranky old guy” personality. 😀
@NPR
He can declare anything he likes, but it won’t be valid or true. Votes will take at least 3 days for final counts, legally. So just ignore the noise.
@LifeAfloat
Oddly enough my friend was just hospitalized with what they thought was a stroke and she has been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, thought to be brought on after a viral infection. She is expected to make a full recovery! So glad for her and you!!’ 💖
Remember this from this morning? 4 little loaves of banana bread, homemade of course. Well I gave 1 to my neighbor, and my husband has now eaten (yes just since this morning) almost all the rest & I have told him if I don’t have some for breakfast in the morning he’s in trouble!
We had hoped that Sharky would simply pass in his sleep but he hasn’t, so today we took him to the vet and said our goodbyes. The vet said it was probably cancer, so there was nothing to be done. He had a happy and much beloved life. We will miss him but are very glad we had him.
This is the little feral kitten we trapped and took to a feral cat shelter to be rehabbed. She is now 5 months old, happy and healthy, and ready for adoption. I know she’ll find a wonderful home. I’m so glad we made the effort to get her to a place of safety that could help her.
@Julesk23
Unfortunately I’m very allergic but I wouldn’t hurt them. I believe you can call local bee keepers who will help. If allergic just stay inside. We need them. Without pollination we would starve.
The beginnings of whatever pasta dish for tonight’s dinner. 6 quarts of spaghetti sauce with our home canned tomatoes, meat, onions, mushrooms, red yellow green peppers, garlic and lots of Italian herbs. Most of this will end up portioned in the freezer for future meals.
Birthday cake for my co-worker tomorrow. Just a simple angel food cake with a little bit of lemon glaze. I might have made a different kind but didn’t find out until this evening that I needed a cake.
Christmas came a little early for Trooper. He’ll be 13 soon and has arthritis. Dad bought him his very own special kitty heating pad and by the look of this it’s a hit! 💖

I had a turkey in the freezer and so this was Sunday dinner. Everything from either the freezer or the pantry and it was fabulous! 😀
We rescued these Monarch butterfly caterpillars from a milkweed they’ve eaten down to the stalk, and moved them to a new milkweed about 10 feet away so they have enough food to turn into beautiful butterflies.
