There are women out there who have everything they need to raise a child but haven’t been lucky enough to conceive yet. Others abort any pregnancies they have, while several more rely on contraceptives to prevent pregnancies . It’s clear we are fighting different life battles😥

The girls shared with me that so many times , periods find them with no pads and so they double knickers and at worst situations they menstruate on banana fibres that when I remembered that H/E @KagutaMuseveni was supposed to give all girls free pass.

I have watched clips of women complaining that Men suckle their breasts & consume the milk that is meant for babies which has caused malnourishment in babies. Am yet to find out the truth but for now I encourage men to back off women’s breasts especially during lactation period.

In china, women delivered by C/section are given 6months maternity leave while those delivered by vaginal normal birth are given 3months. Part of this period , women stay indoors fully for a month to strictly breastfeed and bond with their babies .

At the foundation,I usually tell women & girls to embrace Female condoms as a way to have control over their sexual health, from protection against STIs to taking charge of contraception. Embracing female condoms means owning your body as a female. #SexualHealth @Afrozurifounda
