Family man with wife and three kids, Christian, Protestant, Unionist. Support Norn Iron! Blocked by Michelle O’Neill, she doesn’t like to hear the truth.
To Mary McAleese, we are nazis, to
@GerryAdamsSF
we are bastards, to
@RepRichardNeal
we are planters, to Celtic supporters we are huns, to the
@irish_news
we are disabled, to
@JoeBiden
we are unwelcome. These are people who tell us there is a place for unionists in a Fantasy UI
Alex Maskey talked of reconciliation but not once during his speech could he bring himself to say”Northern Ireland” . We are not fooled by carefully constructed phrases. We judge on actions.
32yrs ago the terrorist wing of SF murdered 8 workers and injured 6 more at Teebane. Tomorrow SF, many with terrorist convictions, will be standing in sham acts of solidarity with workers on picket lines. They tell us there was no alternative to the murders. Lest we forget ✝️
Four things we learned today:
1. M ONeill is not trusted by SFRoI to articulate SF position
2. SF continue to be offended by everything
3. SDLP are impotent
4. Pan nationalists will coalesce around anything no matter how petty, if they see it as an opportunity to bash Brits.
When Sinn Fein members condemn attempted murder of police officers today but celebrate and make excuses for republicans who murdered police officers yesterday, do you ask yourself if these people can be trusted? I do and the answer is clearly No!
Whatever you think of bonfires there is no denying that such structures can’t be built without a serious amount of planning, teamwork, engineering prowess & hard graft. The grumpy old republicans will of course deny that & try to cancel the magnificent efforts of so many kids.
Ireland’s present: Former SF councillor convicted of facilitating murder. Republican drug cartels take to murder on the streets. Investigators resume search for missing IRA victim.... you didn’t hear any of this discussed at “ Ireland’s Future”
Could
@naomi_long
please clarify their position on reporting erection of flags/bunting to the police. Will that policy apply to all situations including republican, GAA, gay pride material for example or does it just apply to flags and bunting being put up by PUL?
A power grab by the RoI to take joint authority over NI is essentially an act of aggression. In my opinion. Let’s hope and pray the UK government are not complicit.
@naomi_long
twitter 8 April on loyalist anti NI Protocol rallies”Those involved in these rallies need to acknowledge the emotions being stirred and dial down the rhetoric”
@naomi_long
on republican terrorist glorification parades on 19 April. Nothing to say🤐
A few observations about Naomi Long’s opening comments on the UTV leaders debate. Firstly she read her speech, secondly she read it very badly and thirdly it wasn’t worth reading in the first place.🤷♂️
Whilst it is absolutely right to remember the Enniskillen massacre to today. I often think of villages & townlands across NI like my own where 10 good people were murdered by the IRA over 20years. We had our own Enniskillens, Shankhill Rd, etc that largely pass by unnoticed.
If SF can influence the PSNI to take unlawful decisions, who else do they exert an unhealthy influence over?..PPS, Judiciary, Media, NIO, Trade Unions, Sporting Organisations, Academics and Educational Establishments, the RC hierarchy, ....
People saying Northern Ireland not working. Well we have a sizeable rump of republicans and nationalists doing their best to make it not work. Would a Fantasy UI with a million unionists forced into it work? I very much doubt it.
@SteveBakerHW
This is the sort of sectarian bigotry unionists have put up with for years Fostered by successive NIO officials/UK Ministers afraid to criticise/callout anything that might upset the always offended nationalists and republicans. If your shocked it shows how out of touch you are.
In England the Met police have carried out their job impartially despite the political ramifications for the Westminster Govt. In NI the PSNI and PPS wriggled and squirmed to come up with bizarre reasons to let SF off the hook under the watch of justice Minister
@naomi_long
First they came after the B Specials, then the UDR, then the PSNI, then the Loyal Orders. They tried to murder us into a UI. All failed. I fully expect that in the coming weeks and months Republican vitriol will be directed at the Monarchy. That will fail too.
@SorchaEastwood
Sorry Sorcha but you displayed nothing but a nasty, arrogant and condescending streak putting forward nothing of substance, screwing up your face and trying to ridicule your opponent in the process. If you are the future of the Alliance Party dear help us all.
It’s becoming a bit scary that the leaders of policing and justice in NI
@naomi_long
and
@ChiefConPSNI
have absolutely no confidence left within the unionist community.
For all those republicans and nationalists titilating about the UK having sorted 3 PMs in less than 2 months, let’s not forget that it took RoI almost 5 months to appoint a PM to hold office for half a term.
I’m not an academic and I believe in respect, equality and integrity.
I challenge where challenge is appropriate.
If you can’t defend your position, I will challenge even more.
Some can’t take challenge.
In a week when SF leadership has stated there was no alternative to sectarian murder and lauded a hunger striker who burnt a mother to death, I’m shocked
@churchofireland
@PCIModerator
@irishmethodist
seem to have nothing to say. Our graveyards are full of IRA victims! Speak up!
Over the past few days, we have witnessed GAA fans removing & stealing a Union Flag, more GAA fans singing sectarian songs & eulogising terrorism & two “loyalist” thugs intimidating a single mum. This is wrong across the board. If you excuse/ignore it, you are part of the problem
Gaza is 24miles long. At most,people will have to walk 12miles to reach a safe place. That’s 1/2mile per hour. The other option is sit your ground and act as human shields to barbaric terrorists. I might have a gammy knee but I could manage 0.5mph.
One of these sporting clubs actions offended the
@allianceparty
@StephenFarryMP
@naomi_long
and caused faux outrage the other never caused them to bat so much as an eyelid. AP, the Appeasement Party
@chhcalling
@UlsterGAA
Did you take the opportunity to challenge the GAA on glorification of terrorism through the naming of GAA grounds, tournaments and trophies after IRA terrorists?
From what I’ve seen of the feile coverage, it’s basically a bunch of republicans talking to a bunch of republicans about republican stuff and playing diddle dee dee music. All very insular and backward looking.
My prediction for ‘23. A tsunami of pressure on unionists to buckle on their NIP stance by Westminster, EU, RoI, US & big business aided by dirty tricks dept of NIO in run up the Belfast Agreement anniversary. Threats of water charges, GR laws, elections etc. We will not waver.
@Simon4NDorset
When King William landed at Carrickfergus his supporters in Ulster lit bonfires to celebrate. Also the bonfires commemorate the lighting of fires on the hills of Co Antrim and Down to help Williamite ships navigate through Belfast Lough at night. Time to engage not castigate.
Hume, Mallon, Clinton, Ahearn, Mitchell & others eventually realised that the rights/aspirations of Unionists were equally valid to those of nationalists/republicans. How long will it take Martin, Varadkar, their EU masters, O’Neill Eastwood,Long etc to come to the same position
The republican strategy of rewriting history such that there was no alternative to IRA terrorism, the IRA were not criminals, etc is clearly working as a whole generation of young nationalists are blindly led beyond the pail by pied pipers wrapped with political cover.
It seems Republican/Nationalist Ireland is tripping over itself to let’s us know they are going to the coronation of our monarch & Colonel in Chief of the Para Regiment, King Charles III, even though they despise it. It seems any principal can be cast aside by them for a headline
It is nauseating to see how the cheerleaders for Ireland’s Future are defending and in some cases lauding Hamas terrorists for indiscriminate murder, rape, torture and hostage taking in Israel. A master class in dehumanising victims.🤮
Just blocked a handful of republicans. I’ve no issue with personal attacks on myself, it just demonstrates their own bankruptcy, but personal attacks on my mother is off limits.👎
On 30 Jan
@CllrMichaelLong
remembered those who died on Bloody Sunday and their families. Today, on the anniversary of La Mon, one of the worst republican IRA atrocities, he puts gates ahead of those that were left behind to pick up the pieces. No sympathy. Vote Alliance get SF.
I’m sure most Palestinians wish to live their lives in peace with their neighbours. They are however about to reap a dreadful harvest for putting into power a military/political force that believes there is no alternative to terrorism. It could never happen in Ireland, could it?
@cjhumanrights
It’s take a special type of person to tweet a pic of a mug of coffee on the same day it is revealed he has repeatedly refused to go for a coffee or engage with a colleague even though he argues in favour of dialogue. Some might say it’s akin to a two fingered salute.
@simoncoveney
@chhcalling
First job getting rid of the Protocol, then the executive will fall into place. As has been repeatedly said, you continue to ignore unionists.
The illegal terrorist barbarians,Hamas, can end their war tonight..Surrender, release their hostages, hand over their terrorist arsenal and stop using their people as human shields. But you won’t hear the anti Semitic, terrorist supporting liberal lefties calling for that.
The aim of republican disruption of the 12th parade in Ballycastle was to give ammunition to the Parades Commission to place greater restrictions on future parades. The PC are widely accepted to be useful stooges for the republican movement.Nationalist faux outrage yields results
@MichealMartinTD
@mooreholmes24
The reaction to this from many Irish republicans clearly shows that the Republican of Ireland has not matured as a nation and that the future of Unionists is clearly not part of “Ireland’s Future”
@FrancieMolloy
SF eulogising a child murderer. Why are we not surprised. Most right thinking people will remember the victims of Grew, Maheshkumar Islania and his six month old daughter, Nivruti Islania.
Today those who say there was no alternative to murder & who are cheerleaders for killing unborn babies will accuse unionists of putting politics before life. Organ donation is of no concern to these people. There see this a political opportunity to put the DUP on the back foot.
Today we remember the Enniskillen massacre carried out by the IRA as part of their terrorist campaign to bring about a UI. Another 12 innocents murdered. Republican apologists should remember “Their names liveth for ever”
@MaryLouMcDonald
Just wanted to wish all my friends and followers a Merry Christmas and Peaceful New Year. Let’s not forget the true meaning of Christmas and also that’s it’s just 203 days till the next big day ✝️ 🌲
@BBCNewsNI
Two things strike me about the comments to this article. Firstly, nationalists/ republican obsession to close down or silence those who voice opposing opinions, secondly, that nationalist/ republicans can come up with no coherent arguments, choosing to smear instead of debate.
With SF the biggest party in the Assembly and LG we can all now expect the NHS to be fixed, school buildings improved, potholes fixed, climate change sorted, zero unemployment, double digit public sector pay and social security increases and so on. Otherwise it will be failure
@PaulaJaneB
@irish_news
I asked your leader
@naomi_long
on AP policy of reporting erection of flags/bunting to PSNI. Does it apply to all situations including republican, GAA, gay pride material for eg or does it just apply to flags & bunting being put up by PUL? She had refused to reply perhaps u can
The
@bbc
documentary on the murder of Thomas Niedermayer by IRA terrorists is a must watch. A moving & eye opening expose of the destruction of a family & how evil IRA activists were. No surprise that current/past SF leadership carried the coffin of the IRA godfather responsible
You don’t have to be a PSNI Constable to deduce that there are an awful lot of lies being told around the illegal discipling of two their colleagues. One thing for certain however is that Mr Justice Scoffield is not one of those telling porkies.
Bertie Ahern reminded us all that SF and the IRA were two sides of the same coin. Whilst most reasonable people can see and feel the harm being done by the feile hatefest, SF cannot call it out as to do so is to condemn themselves.
If you are a drug dealer, you have no argument to cover your deeds with a title of Protestant, Unionist or Loyalist. You are a criminal thug destroying the lives of our young people to feather your own pockets. Just leave the scene for good.
On Friday 6 Oct ‘23 Sinn Fein Deputy leader said Tackling Violence against Women and Girls strategy must be a priority’ – Michelle O’Neill. On Saturday SF support Palestinian terrorists murdering and raping Women and Girls! Shameless
All those journalists immediately accepting the Hamas narrative that IDF bombed hospital in Gaza, not so quick to now admit that at the very least there are disputed circumstances as to who fired the rocket and increasing evidence it was Hamas themselves that bombed the hospital
Tomorrow on the “Twelfth”, we will take time to remember those that gave their lives to protect us against republican violence and terrorism since the creation of our beautiful Northern Ireland “Lest we Forget”.
No matter what the contribution to the “Republican cause” if you were a Michael Collins, a Bobby Sands or a Denis Donaldson, or numerous other such seasoned terrorists, at the end of the day they were expendable by their fellow republicans.
A week on from the
@allianceparty
@naomi_long
conference it’s become obvious that the take home message is to de-platform Protestant Unionist Loyalist opinion. Of course their support for Lineker exposes their hypocrisy when it comes to supporting free speech.
A well deployed tactic of republicans is to trash the reputation of those who don’t comply with them and go for the kill... Jean McConville & Paul Quinn being 2 examples. When a gun is no longer an option, a persons job/career/business will do instead. We see what they are at🤔
@FrancieMolloy
@belfast_prod
The victim of his sectarian actions was a young mother, burnt to death. But there was “no alternative” to help achieve a Fantasy United Ireland.
Like most other British agents within the IRA, of whom there are many including within its leadership, Scappaticci was not planted into the IRA by the secret services, he was already a hardened well seasoned murdering Irish republican terrorist. The IRA recruited and trained him
The UUP under the leadership of
@BeattieDoug
has broken ranks with the rest of Unionism. They are now on Alliance territory. Will they be able to take votes from AP? Trimble tried making the UUP more cross community by cutting links with the OO and it massively backfired.
RoI is heading into unchartered territory with SF likely to be the biggest party after their next GE. In order to allow FF or FG to go seamlessly into coalition with them, they need the DUP to sanitize SF by restoring power sharing in NI. Let them do their own sanitising I say.
Please note exceptions exist for: British citizens including Northern Irish Unionists, Jews, certain Americans, people of colour, immigrants, asylum seekers.
BBC report that there have been over 7k deaths in Gaza since Israel started the counter offensive. That’s ca 400 per day. I’m sorry but just ain’t seeing mass funerals or graves to evidence that level of deaths. I don’t doubt there are significant casualties but not on this scale
The
@allianceparty
that has a vociferous opinion on everything is very quiet on the Chief Constable debacle around appeasing republicans. Just a short statement. They have more to say on Christmas lights at City Hall. Have they something to hide?
Video of 2 bandsman seemingly snorting coke circulating. Not sure if recent or old, but regardless it’s absolutely shocking, to be condemned, & although not representative of the wider band scene, a reminder to us all that drugs are rife in all communities. Band needs sanctioned
@RyanCarlin
@Garymc1967
@SouthBelfastSF
The political wing of the IRA would have us believe they care about people being able to heat their homes this winter. What they don’t like reminding us of, is that they believe there was no alternative to leaving thousands of families homeless in their failed persuit of a UI.
@BBCNewsNI
I struggle to see how an MP that allowed a Shankill bomber to canvas for him and was elected due to other nationalists standing aside to help ensure a unionist was not elected has cross community credentials. Also why is Chris Donnelly described in neutral terms?
Why are Alliance Party
@naomi_long
conducting an ageist campaign. My two voting age children got AP literature through the post(hastily consigned to the bin by them I should add). My wife & I still waiting on ours. No respect for the unborn and no respect for older folk I guess.
@News_Letter
What’s she saying is that there was no alternative to murdering children, women, men, pensioners in order to try and bring about a pipe dream. What a sordid, depraved mindset still exists within the Irish republican head.
The vast majority of people in NI are decent law abiding citizens, trying to do their best for their families. All they ask for are honest answers, not ducking and diving, from
@ChiefConPSNI
@naomi_long
@GerryKellyMLA
The people of NI are also well used to being left disappointed
Apparently if you are a unionist and opposed to the NIP you are not a real person in the eyes of the Alliance Party. Let’s maximise the Unionist vote in May and show them we are real and mean business.
@J_Donaldson_MP
@BeattieDoug
@JimAllister
@columeastwood
Pretty much the same thing that is happening the health service across the rest of the UK and Republic of Ireland. Too much flu, not enough staff. With added complexity of obtaining medicines in NI due to the NI Protocol which you want rigorously implemented.
“The way things are going in the make-believe minds of apologists for murder it’s only a matter of time” before they tell us that terrorists were actually doing us all a favour by killing so many peopleduring the Troubles” At a journalist busting myths👏👏
@cjhumanrights
GAA good OO bad. IRA murders fine, loyalist murders bad. Irish language good, Ulster Scots bad. Republicanism good, Unionism bad. EU good, UK bad.....
Watching the SoS speaking on the WF in HoC and I have never seen as such an incompetent performance in all my life
@chhcalling
. He is extremely uncomfortable looking in trying to defend the indefensible.
Extract of the Ministerial code, which Michelle O’Neill and Naomi Long were bound by at the time the CC was appeasing republicans. And yet they both remain tight lipped🤔
