My sister-in-law is a Northern Irish Presbyterian. She says many of her friends would now vote for a United Ireland as they have more in common with a centrist, generous & outward looking Ireland than they do with Brexit Britain. Brexit broke the Union. And the DUP backed it.

My aunt got v. ill last night. CareDoc arrived in 20 mins & she was rushed to hospital. They diagnosed a fatal problem they could not fix. So transferred her to another hospital 75 miles away. Surgical team waiting & 5 hours later she’s OK. She’s 89. This is a great country.

Baby born last Tuesday. By Friday nurses alarmed he wasn't gaining weight. X-ray revealed ill-formed oesophagus which would quickly be fatal. Rushed to Temple St, 6 hr operation. Now fine. We have a 1st world health service that NEVER gets the praise it deserves. Shameful.

I got suddenly very ill last week. Got to see on-call GP at 3:00AM, then my own GP later that day. It can take 2 weeks to get a phone call with a GP in Britain. Our wish to have an Irish NHS is a national inferiority complex. Be careful what you wish for.

My niece among them. She had a good job. Own apartment. A degree & no debt. She decided she wanted to see the world so moved to Aus for a worse job so is back in a house share. She knows she will walk into a job when she comes home. Typical SF to paint success as failure.
