With an increase in cyclist fatalities, we need more protected bike lanes. We also have problems enforcing parking prohibitions, esp. placard abuse & NYPD & agencies parking in bike lanes. At today's hearing, I called on @NYCMayor to expedite this work.

Same thing happened to me. Fairly big mailing, although many are correct. Ballots themselves are good. Major vendor error. @BOENYC is making the vendor do the mailing all over. New ballots will be marked β€œSecond Ballot” to identify them as the corrected envelope and ballot.

I’m disappointed w/the Public Campaign Financing Commission’s vote to make it more difficult for minor parties to access a ballot line. We need a special session to address this, the still-too-high contribution limits, & limiting matching donations to a candidate’s district only.

Finally! Today, NY will issue violations to Illegally overweight trucks on the BQE through our first-in-the-nation weigh-in-motion (WIM) program. Getting rid of illegal trucks will extend the BQE's lifespan. @NYC_DOT saw reduction of illegal trucks during the WIM warning period!

I signed on to cosponsor the bill to repeal 50-a in 2016. Today, I finally vote YES to repeal this law that has caused so much pain and to begin the process of restoring justice to New Yorkers and ensure accountability for law enforcement.

For these reasons, we ask that you offer aspiring attorneys an equitable and expedient path to admission as an alternative to the online bar exam in October. To date, Washington, Oregon, Utah and Louisiana have all extended some form of practice based admission.

Two years ago, I voted against Albany’s overriding NYC’s plastic bag fee, which cd have kept thousands of plastic bags from the waste stream. Today I voted to ban single use plastic bags w/local option to charge 5 cents for paper. The $ will go to environmental protection. YAY!
