Just because you're a dude doesn't mean you can't feel. Proper emotional processing is an important skill for everyone. If you don't let the emotions out somehow they will find their own way. It's better to control their release instead of letting things boil over

Gaming doesn't have to be unhealthy. Having reasonable boundaries around your hobby should be normalized. Take breaks, step away if you're upset, if gaming interferes with your real-world responsibilities re-evaluate. Gaming should be fun, not a chore

Habits can be hard to quit cold-turkey. Try replacing habits instead. If you struggle with eating when you're bored replace it with some stretching, writing or gaming. It can be anything as long as it distracts you and doesn't detract from any other goals you're trying to hit

This is going to sound corny but hear me out. Make to-do lists. It offloads all that stuff in your brain for you to actually get stuff done. If you make one the night before then the day of you know exactly what you need to do. Plus, crossing things off feels really good!

Steamed broccoli sucks and it is entirely understandable why you think vegetables suck if that is your only exposure to it. Roasted, salt and pepper, garlic powder and olive oil. 400 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven. About 30 minutes but go by colour. They should look charred.

Ergonomics are important but hold any position for hours on end and of course you are going to hurt. Start intentionally planning for some breaks. Even just standing up everytime you see a grey screen can be huge. Try it. Do it right now. Looking at you "entry frag" raze

My biggest take-away this year was less is more with rehab plans. Choosing protocols someone can adhere to and fits into their life is way more effective than a "perfect" plan they won't be consistent with. Make the rehab not feel like rehab.

Been getting a lot of questions about how to manage an overly tight grip while mouse aiming. Dedicate 30 minutes of your practice time to intentionally playing with a relaxed grip. I don't care about your speed or accuracy, just keep that hand relaxed! It will translate in-game

It takes about 4 weeks for muscular changes to happen so rehab can take time. It is entirely possible to get drops in pain and increases in function before then but being patient if you have a good plan is important.

At the top level of competition injuries happen. You're pushing yourself to the limit and ekeing out every iota of performance. But, in traditional sports there is almost always the expectation the athlete comes back. Maybe not that season but they come back. Why not esports?

Here is my rule for clicks, pops, or crackles when you move. If it doesn't hurt don't worry about it

As we round into the holiday season I am going to be the first to tell you that one bad day does not ruin your fitness or wellness goals. Let yourself enjoy the time with your family then get back to it in the new year!

One of my favourite things is telling a patient that they can go back to gaming. That the pain will get better. I swear 1 in 3 of the people I work with tell me their previous provider told them to just rest and brace without any exercises. That ain't doing shit.

When you are mid-competition our goal is to manage your symptoms so you can perform the way you need to. Then, during the off-season is when we make the sweeping ergonomics or set-up changes to set you up for success in the future

This is your reminder to take regular breaks. Rest what you've been using and use what you've been resting 😄

Let's see what tomorrow brings. Losses always sting but we also have a foundation to build on. We go again tomorrow

Getting back to the gym is so nice. I focused on lifting what felt comfortable and challenging for me NOW, not where I used to be. I also focused on stuff I like to do more than usual(so arms). I want going to the gym to be something I look forward to, not dread 👍🦵

I want to see the first competitive 40 year old professional gamer 👴👵happen, it is definitely possible with our current knowledge of load management, conditioning and performance optimization

Grinding out solo que is not the most efficient way to practice. If you aren't analyzing your play then how do you know what to work on? Give your hands a break and do some VOD review. It will make your practice more efficient
