Within a few weeks of the season starting new manager Ken Furphy had cleared about 9 of those players out. Including the captain, sold to Ipswich with Bobby Bell valued at £25k coming the other way. Two weeks later he sold Bell to Palace for double that.

I was admitted to Critical Care Dec 2020 with Covid even my daughter who works in a different Critical Unit resigned to the expectation I wouldn’t survive. Four days lost to my consciousness and nine more days on a ward. I bless them and am in their debt every sweet day of life

Which games were we ‘written off’ before? Leeds away I’ll give you. But Southampton & Ipswich at home weren’t games that I thought we couldn’t get something from. Rest perfectly winnable for a moderate team. This guy just re-calibrates the task he’s had to spin it as an ‘escape’
