We have been hoodwinked into belief that the ready-made cans & boxes that line the store shelves are food to nourish our bodies. Likewise, we are being propagandized to believe the one-click moralistic therapeutic deism in our hand will feed our souls. Neither is true food.

Genuine repentance... Painful and humbling, but also healing and comforting. Granted to His beloved children to conform them to Himself. That word-- *granted* used over again in Scripture. A gift bestowed for His good pleasure. Undeserved. The merciful gift of repentance.

As a culture, we are too easily offended. If we need articles like "how to talk to a (fill in the blank) person," or "What not to say to a..," we are really missing the point. Let's get over ourselves and replace our "offendedness" with compassion-- even in our own trials.
