I am watching a horror film that takes place in Seattle and about halfway through there is a thunderstorm. No one is rushing to the windows to open the blinds while discussing the last time it thundered in Seattle so I call bullsh*t that they are even anywhere close to Seattle.

So I might have picked a fight on a FB neighborhood group about how bemoaning the tearing down of a craftsmen to build 19 new homes is classist, environmentally unfriendly, and inhumane. In my defense, I am bored and nauseous from pregnancy and probably need the distraction.

Unfortunately, our break in likely could have been prevented had the @CityOfRedmond said yes to our request in January 2024 to install bollards or some other physical barrier along the sidewalk in front of our store.

I am not sure if biking around Seattle is ever going to get less stressful for me. It’s really hard to constantly feel how much the cars & pedestrians don’t want you to be there. It is making me think about how I can be more welcoming to 🚲 & pedestrians when I am driving.
