This morning a family in Gaston had a pet who fell down an underground drain pipe. About 4 feet underground. When you don’t know who else to call the fire department shows up. In our department pets and livestock are family. I am so proud of the Gaston crew!

If you host your domains with @GoDaddy you absolutely need to read this. They are now by default turning domain privacy on. Whether you ordered it or not. Then it auto renews and charges you. For something YOU didn't choose. But it gets worse.

@github a 486 DX2, that looked about like this. I put it together piece by piece in high school over about 9 months on a fast food salary. Had 4 MB of RAM, a 40 Meg hard drive and 28.8k modem. I built it specifically to play Doom smoothly.

Look, I work in tech and am about as "techie" as one can be. But do we really need "smart" everything? No, we don't. Washing machines have done just fine for 100 years without software updates for crying out loud.
