@anglican_net @DigestTom Both SS. Augustine & Fulgentius do not say Mary had the crime of sin but speak solely of her flesh being sinful and died to sin (the debt of sin) which was passed by Adam. Catholic theologians already took this into account with the IC and refer to it as the debitum peccati.

Let's begin by showing the change in Catholic dogma regarding the liceity of participation in religious meetings with Non-Catholics: In Mortalium Animos, it is akin to apostasy. The 1917 Code of Canon Law also mentions how participation in almost any way is not licit.

A Christian in mortal sin does not Love God and hence he receives of Christ “unworthily”, unworthily discerning the body and blood of the Lord and hence does not receive him spiritually

@dunkin_eo Craig Truglia has always been inconsistent. Especially regarding the Oreginistic interpretation of Zechariah’s prophesy, which de facto was made so that Mary would be a sinner in order to be redeemed. Citing these fathers against the IC jeopardizes also the Ortho view.
