Work Hard Play Hard. Just trying to navigate being a woman in a man's world. When they aren't I will let you know who to blame. Not an official account.
There are days I want to send a mass email out to the whole Army with messages like FCPs are not for sick kids,
#Peoplefirst
, only a GO can deny caregiver leave, CQ is a waste of time,
#showempathy
, children or spouses in hospital should be Soldiers place of duty, etc...
My parents chose not to come to my college grad. They were saving money for a cruise. Today she responded to a post it was a proud day and wishes they could've been there. I'm refraining from what I really want to say. Just don't say you wish when you had a choice. Yes I'm bitter
So many of our Soldiers are having issues finding daycare, the CDCs have waiting list 6-9 months out, but yet leadership is ready to filet a Soldier who can't make it to PT when it's scheduled prior the the opening of daycare centers on or off post or need to leave work to
Hey Army want to know why retention sucks. Giving your Soldiers only 30 minutes for lunch and forcing them to take leave to take dependent to Dr appt. WTAF?!!
Hey 1SGs, CSMs, and CDRs, you better have your FLLs read AD 2022-6. FCPs are not for sick kids. We still have a pandemic out there, it's flu season and kids are getting RSV. Mom and Dad may need to stay home. They should be handed a DA31 for NMA leave, not a counseling for FTR
The look I get when my male colleagues repeat something I said, but its now relevant because it came from them and not me... Cuz you know, I'm just a girl
pick them up at the end of the day. Leaders need to be flexible and find ways to ensure accountability but allow for parents to take care of things at home
Why are Company CDRs or 1SGs telling SMs to submit for leave to go to a medical appt. Or to take leave the day they are in hospital having surgery? Is there something missing in the precommand courses or in PME that drives them to put out these policies?
@mercenarygraphi
@DashDobrofsky
He was in Jersey, not Florida. But it would be great if the news would pick this up and get some deep background as to why
@RVAwonk
I disagree. The issue is her OPED claimed things that the facts proved did not happen. She also made the mistake on the stand by stating she wrote the piece to get back at him, which proved malice.
Looking at it from a different POV abused men who are afraid to come fwd now can.
@16thSMA
I'd like you to discuss what
#peoplefirst
really means at all levels. It shouldn't need to be said, but too many leaders fail at this initiative.
@ZBlime
They didn't. This was 9 years ago. It is still a very sore subject with me so when I saw the post earlier this evening I was peeved. I deployed a month after my graduation ceremony.
@GiustinaSimon
@ScottJStephens
When I was enlisted and on crutches I was ripped a new one by a Maj for not saluting him as I hobbled by. I really wish I had saluted with my crutch. Lol
She joined the military, we give up certain rights to ensure the protection of everyone else's rights. If she objected to mandatory vaccines why did she not object to say for example anthrax or the flu vaccine?
A Marine corporal was discharged in less than a week after refusing to comply with mask mandates and refused to get a vaccine. It was a fast dismissal from the force. Here's what she told me:
@StevenBeynon
I want to know how he can ban it without an approved ETP to 670-1
I also wonder how his command climate is with that kind of mentality. Korea is a great place to PCS to, but Leaders like this give it a bad name
@pearldolphin
@Dbwagner104
You really have no clue the persecution they face if deported. And most work, pay taxes, and give back to their communities.
A medical bill should never stand between a Veteran and life-saving health care.
Starting Tuesday, Veterans in suicidal crises can go to any health care facility for free emergency mental health care β and up to 90 days of follow-up care.

Your have the 16th largest economy in Workd, behind Mexico. 30% of which comes from government spending. Without Federal funding Florida's economy would tank. So you know good luck with that.
21 years ago I was 31 married w/ 3 kids and made the decision to follow my dreams so I would never look back w/regrets by taking my oath and swearing to protect our constitution. Even though my marriage didn't survive and I've had my share of traumatic experiences, I've also

@16thSMA
What about kids who don't know they are adopted? Not saying they shouldn't know, but that's up to a parent to tell them, not their ID card

@USArmy
Madigan at JBLM seemingly turned off Fox and most clinics are airing HGTV or ESPN. Nuclear Med had soap operas on the other day. So there is hope
@TheWTFNation
It never should've been contracted to for profit companies. Its a complete disgrace how they get away with their shoddy work and maintenance
During briefings this past week it dawned on me I need to increase my tactical level knowledge. Ive always worked at the operational and strategic level. What are good references and books I could be reading?
To add to the debacle that is IPSS-A, because DD214s cannot be processed Soldier's medically retiring or separating now have to wait for their DD214 to be mailed to them. This is not how you take care of Soldiers. They can't receive their VA disability or retirement pay w/o it
Why does Tricare not cover assisted-reproductive procedures, such as IVF, but yet they will pay to reverse a vasectomy? I've asked this before, but have yet to receive a valid reason.
I was just informed the Army is no longer authorizing ice making machines in facilities. I would love to know where this policy change is in writing. I can see how this makes sense in most facilities; except the SRUs where Soldiers depend on these machines for their recovery.
I submitted my first ICE comment for poor service today. Im so done with the finance office here on Korea. I don't understand how they can continue to screw up pay. Its either a training issue, laziness, or lack of attention to detail. Either way its wrong
"In Atlanta they ask, 'what do you do for a living?' In Macon they ask,'What church do you go to?'In Savannah they ask,'What do you want to drink?'" Old Southern Adage. I like the way they think in Savannah
If you are a Sr Leader and you think berating your Soldier for asking for professional development/guidance its time to retire. I wish I knew what unit you are in, because I would make it my last mission in the Armt to help you submit your retirement packet
Help desk: You need an IMO.
Me: I don't have one
HD: Any 25 series
Me: No, Army said they won't fill position this year
HD: Oh you have one his name is SFC...
Me: That was 2 PCSs ago
HD: You need to call him. If not we can shut down your entire network.
Me: Then send me an IMO
@sgtjanedoe
I like how she says we are not getting paid.
1) he probably got an article 15
2) why didn't he turn in birth certificate?
3) his current wife is probably taking all of the BAH because if still married they would not end it
4) is this my old roommate because it sounds like him π
My son just called and handed his phone over to whom I now know is a nurse. He is a chef and sliced his finger tonight. She needed some info from me, but now I wait to see how serious his injury is. He maybe out of the house now, but he is still my baby
I had a P3 and was told I wouldn't be able to walk again without crutches so my time in military over. I got second opinion, had surgery. Reduced P3 to P2 and received a direct commission. Should make Maj next year.
@SigO26BVelma
I'm sobsick of the misogynist that make these decisions. I don't have time to order try them on and return them to get another set to try on.
I'm also sick of not having boots made for women. The amount of injuries that could be eliminated by doing this simple thing is worth it
@16thSMA
While we are having this discussion which I wholeheartedly support being allowed to wear a ponytail, can we please discuss the need for boots in women's sizes?
@ArmyMudPuppy
@TheWTFNation
Paint over it, Um N-O to the NO. But DPW on certain bases think that's the best way. Clean it, yes, but depending on location and how much it may need more than some dawn and elbow grease.
I wish more of our AD brethren understood and appreciated the challenges our NG and USAR brothers and sisters face. Its no longer the 1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year service.
@SkepticalGinger
Don't come in & change the schedule your spouse has set. Ease in to it before making adjustments. Little ones may not recognize you & be shy. Give it a few days. The older ones might have resentment, be there for them. Tell them some interesting parts of your deployment, 1/2
@JohnAtilano
Good on you! I never understood the reasoning behind last minute taskers with unrealistic suspenss, unless it was an emergency life or death situation, which rarely occur.
If your Soldier is medboarding, ETSing, or retiring stop harassing them and stop denying them the transition classes and / or appts they need to be successful when they are no longer in the service.
had some of the best adventures anyone could ever ask for. I will be medically retiring in the next few months and while there was more I wanted to achieve I have no regrets on what I've accomplished to get to where I am today. The Army allowed me to be all I could be
Discussion today with our command surgeon about meds that we can no longer receive from the pharmacy. If DHA is going to make me pay for meds my Dr prescribes then Congress needs to allow us to create a health savings plan account
@AnnCoulter
I think you have us confused with Congress. Our health plans are not gold plated. We do not have self-paced work (I wish) and we contribute to the pension from our salary its not just given to us
@infantryohfour
@LethalityJane
Here is the actual ad. Maybe a certain politician should watch this instead. I teared up from the pride I felt in her answering her calling.
@SkepticalGinger

talk to them. Don't come home and start discipline immediately. Let your spouse do that. They have a system.
Take ot slow. It will be like they were never gone within a few weeks.
Spent my morning at finance. After we started digging it would appear someone at a different pay site is going in and adjusting my entitlements erroneously. Not sure on what authority they have to do that, but rest assured tonight I will be calling and to talk to their boss
On my to do list is sending information to the BAH board to fix the BAH in my area. My Jr Soldiers should not worry about paying their mortgage when activated. Our area is 11 miles from a zip code that has double the BAH. The cost of living is not any different.
