@dhh I assume your office is close to a data center and you have a multiple backbone connections at your office? Backup generator? Has latency suffered? Most businesses will not have such high hosting costs in the first place -- they are going to save money in the cloud, not the other

@KobeissiLetter That reminds me, they had a cash back card ~15 years ago. After many years it stops working. Customer support says, "You're supposed to carry a balance." I called back again, "Our clearinghouse is backed up." Haven't used Paypal since 2019.

@MultifamilyMad Not a new idea: put up some dividers and rent them out as art studios. The important thing is ventilation with paint fumes -- one of these in Austin burned down. But art studios lead to art shows, draws in crowds -- combine that with some other synergistic business.

@ThinkAppraiser Easiest way to get started selling your knowledge is probably @gumroad combined with some kind of free component, like what you're doing here, then direct the traffic to Gumroad. Once your product is nailed down, maybe try @ClickBank to scale up w/ more affiliates.

@BowTiedCyber I was given CEO's email password and Godaddy password (access to all domains of all clients) my first week as a contractor -- major company/government clients. Also was given Salesforce API key, huge database. Reported some of the problems, nothing was fixed. Had prod access too.

@1RentalataTime Makes perfect sense. As a renter, I move out when the rent increases too much, or I see a better opportunity elsewhere. I suppose most apartment renters are mobile, in a different stage of life, maybe just in the area for a short commute. Anyway, good to know the difference.

@Codie_Sanchez 1 and 2 are exciting, but 3 and 4 pay better, less stress. Don't do 1 or 2 without equity. And even with equity, you might be the last to know when the stock goes to zero.

@DarioCpx A big selling point for #AI is to predict mechanical failures. Basically, you can run sensor logs through #MachineLearning to predict when failures will occur. Really it's just rebranding common sense -- find the pattern and do something about it.
