Met Bruce Springsteen last night. Played some songs on stage with him. He said we were a great band. Cried a lot. Probably gonna cry again today thinking about it. What is life
Respectfully, the way some of y’all act so entitled is genuinely so discouraging. Like a bunch of spoiled little kids complaining they didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas. Embarrassing.
My job is really cool and my boss is also my best pal and this picture made me very emotional. Very proud to be a part of this band and crew. Halfway done.
Seems to me that Turnpike is the Turnpike of this generation and Cross Canadian Ragweed is the Cross Canadian Ragweed of their generation and maybe just stop comparing everyone and enjoy music instead of being weird and angry for no reason
Me bc we’re halfway done with august and that means tour is almost done and that means I get to go home and play madden with my dawgs and kiss felly and record an album god is so good
Excited to be back out in the ozarks this summer playing some tunes, and I’m bringing the band with me this time!! Hope to see y’all this year at the Campout, tickets go on sale Friday! You aren’t gonna want to miss this one!
I heard you found you a dancer, but I doubt he sings like me. His hairs long and shaggy and his hands are as soft as he looks in his skintight Cinch jeans.
This is one I wrote called “Never Was Mine”, I hope you like it!!
Got a new EP coming in the next couple months, and this is one that’s gonna be on it. I’ve been playing it live for a while, but I’m really excited for y’all to hear it on the record!! Anyway, here’s Preacher Man.
Just for clarity, I have sang the way I sing since I was a little kid, and weirdly enough I had never heard of Tyler Childers as a small Pentecostal boy singing hymnals and southern gospel
It’s the way you float so lightly over bridges built for walking, you sing instead of talking, and you stay instead of run
This is one I started a while back called “Girl From a Song”, I hope y’all like it!
Excited to head out to Cullman, Alabama this July for Rock The South with some old friends and some new ones! Hope to see y’all out there!! You can get tickets at the link in my bio! Hope to see y’all out there!
This is a good tweet and made me giggle but also isn’t this what we want?? Like aren’t we trying to show as many people as we can the music that we love? Isbell is my goat and it’s painful some folks only know him in that way, but maybe more will find out he’s dope at the show
(Overheard in line to get coffee)
“Yeah we got tickets to see Zach Bryan next year. Some dude named Jason Isabell is opening for him. I think he wrote a Morgan Wallen song or something.”
Me:
Decided to overshare on the internet today. Real grateful that y’all have listened and shared your own stories with me, makes me feel a little less alone. Here’s the story behind Preacher Man.
I try not to be negative and keep my mouth shut but dude it’s just an objectively not great song and people are bending over backwards defending it when it’s just ass. We get it y’all are patriots and wanna shoot folks who fuck with you, COOL! The song still blows.
This is pretty different from what I usually write, but I listened to turnpike for about 13 hours the other day and this just kinda happened, so here it is, the only red dirt song I plan on writing. Hope y’all like it.
If you need a warm place to stay, Lakewood is open. Hundreds arrived last night & more today due to power outages. Staff & volunteers are on site ready to help. We have beds, blankets, a hot meal and supplies for those in need. Stay safe, continue to pray for Texas.
I would just like to say I am aware my guitar playing is trash and I’m sorry I didn’t bring other folks to play the instruments I was poor when we recorded this
My EP hit 2 million streams across Apple and Spotify a few days ago, and I’m not super big on posting about numbers but it means a lot to me that y’all have listened to the songs that much. Thank you a million times or even two million, I love y’all so much. Cool stuff comin soon
Zach has spent the last 10 minutes trying to convince Graham and I that we don’t actually like corn and it’s just us lying to ourselves and he’s still going rn
