The phrase “men of fighting age” is just a shorthand way of referring to the age and gender demographic which commits the overwhelming majority of violent crime in every society on earth. It’s perfectly logical to be extra concerned about channel migrants on that basis.

There’s absolutely no legitimate reason for anyone whose first loyalty is Britain to be this bothered. Israel and Palestine clashing should, in a well managed country with a historically sane immigration policy, be about as notable as two tribes fighting in the Amazon.
