house! Your support and enthusiasm has really driven us to give it our best! Now let's make this final night a real infected one! Unleash the spores!
Monsters University is such an underrated masterpiece. The film teaches an important message that more people need to hear:
Sometimes you won't accomplish your dreams no matter how hard you try, but that doesn't mean you can't succeed elsewhere.
Disney & Universal's donations to sponsors of the "Don't Say Gay" bill is a reminder that no matter how much they promote inclusion in the parks, they are both big corporations that will support whoever saves them money...including homophobic and transphobic politicians.
Fun Fact: I approached
@Joe_Rohde
after he sat down with the other Disney Legends at the ceremony to show him my Dr. Seeker cosplay. Right away, a VIP tour guide shooed me away (knew that'd happen lol), but not before I said "Heeello there!" He chuckled. So worth it! Thanks, Joe!
Dr. Seeker ran into Dr. Jones at the D23 Expo. He asked, "Why is a historian like yourself determined to destroy the Dino Institute, a place of history?" The two could not put their differences aside...
Chapek's baffling email is proof that Disney, or at least the higher ups of the company, don't care about inclusivity. The Splash Mountain retheme, PC makeovers to classic attractions, and pride merch were all about saving face while squeezing money out of you at the same time.
I highly recommend checking out The Blockbuster Experience at the Central Florida Fair! Plenty of merch, snacks, $5 movies, photo ops, and nostalgia. Immerse yourself in the age of video stores now through March 10!
All proceeds go to the Last Blockbuster, located in Bend, OR.
WE GOT HOUSE OF THE YEAR!
Thank you all so much for helping us make this happen! The continued support and enthusiasm that you all express when coming through our house really gives us the high and positive energy that we need to give you all a legendary experience!
Please get rid of the Tomorrowland Speedway. It's way past its prime, emits gas fumes, the track keeps getting shorter and shorter, the views aren't great, and the steering is rough. It's not Autopia. It holds no historical value. Please use that space for something better.
To everyone out there who's "boycotting" Universal over its mask mandate:
ORLANDO IS THE THEME PARK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! THERE ARE PLENTY OF FOLKS WHO WILL BE HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR PLACE! THE PARKS WILL BE FINE WITHOUT YOU!
NEW: Fantasmic! returns to Disneyland Park on May 24, and hereβs a first look at the updated battle sequence between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, which is brought to life through updated special effects.

Disney has confirmed that WDW's 50th anniversary celebration will end on March 31st. Lol what 50th anniversary? Did I miss it? I don't recall there being one.
Before Disney even considers building a 5th gate, they need to take better care of the 4 they already have. Expand those parks, update what needs to be refreshed, and put more effort into maintaining them.
For me, the saddest part of losing RoA and TSI is this eerily beautiful view. They have always been a part of the Mansion's identity to me, enriching the scenery. It has always been "that house on the Hudson River." Regardless of what they build here, it will not be the same.
I was speaking to a family at Universal. They told me their kids haven't seen most of the films the attractions are based on because they can't sit through full movies. Of course, the kids were on their phones and drinking Prime while we were talking. We really are screwed.
All of us at Universal Monsters: Legends Collide really appreciate your love and support! As long as you continue to visit, we'll continue to give it our best! π§π»ββοΈπ€πΊ
My dear friend and mentor, Imagineer Kim Irvine. She is the daughter of Leota Toombs and oversees many projects at Disneyland. My dream is to follow in her footsteps.

Reminder to all my fellow TMs attending HHN Preview:
It is Purge Night. Many folks will be losing their jobs. Don't be one of those people. Don't drink if you're underage. Don't pass off a drink to someone who can't have one. Don't hold someone's drink. Follow all the rules.
Burned Iago animatronic from the Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management and featherless Barker Bird from WDW's Pirates of the Caribbean - D23 Expo 2013.
Snow White's Scary Adventures closed 10 years ago at the Magic Kingdom, and boy do I miss it. Scary Disney rides have always been top tier and I think Fantasyland has been kinda lacking ever since they closed this gem.
Recently rode ROTR for the first time in two years, and the following wasn't working. Anyone know how long it's been like this?
β’ AT-AT cannons didn't lower
β’ Lightsaber didn't move w/ walking Kylo
β’ Lightsaber didn't come through the ceiling
β’ All three cannons didn't move
First thoughts on DreamWorks Land:
- Shrek is the best of the three IP lands
- best food is the Trolls ice cream and Shrek popsicles
- best offering is the Imagination Celebration
- the kids are so happily engaged with Po that it makes up for losing the Ball Factory
Happy 50th anniversary to America Sings, a DL attraction that featured Audio-Animatronic animals singing songs from various periods of American history. The show ran from 1974 to 1988. Pictured here is the record, some props, and models that were displayed at the 2015 D23 Expo.
Fun fact: all the mold in Revenge of the Tooth Fairy represented tooth decay, and it got bigger as you ventured further into the house.

Haunted Mansion queue changes so far:
β’ path widened
β’ hearse relocated closer to entrance
β’ LL scanners relocated to where hearse originally stood
β’ NOS Magnolia Fountain relocated to queue
β’ lampposts moved around
β’ overall, it's mostly the same, but more accommodating
Disney's merchandise department and ITM got it wrong again. The man featured in this new ornament is in fact the Ghost Host, but he is NOT Master Gracey. They are not same character and never will be. WDI has confirmed this.
If it were up to me, I'd bring back BTTF: The Ride, with updates to the footage. The franchise is still relevant. The merch always sells and folks love meeting Doc. I say, bring it back. Universal's weakest point is that they don't have attractions for their most iconic IPs.
THIS! Everyone is always like, "But kids don't know what this is!" to justify closing attractions. Um, I didn't know what the Twilight Zone was before experiencing Tower, and yet it made me a fan. It introduced me to the IP. Not everything needs to be familiar.
@somestuffisaid
I love this and the fact that Muppet*Vision has introduced so many generations to The Muppets. Thereβs so many positive impacts that this show has had, and I hope that it continues to have those impacts. I canβt imagine losing the last thing that Jim directed and performed in.
@uorplefever
And let's not forget how they threatened to sue Mr. Nightmare for his "The Truth Behind Chuck E. Cheese" creepypasta but never bothered to sue FNAF.
I knew Deathsantis would win. Outside of Orlando and a few other cities, this state is red af with midterm elections always having low voter turnouts, typically among young people. If you are eligible to vote but chose not to, just know that you could've made a difference.
Scareactor of the Week! Thank you all so much for giving my Cordyceps pal all your love and support. You motivate him to give you his best every single day!
I think we can all agree that the first ever Stranger Things house was the best one. It had everything that was needed. Every character, every important scene, impressive sets from start to finish, and it was SCARY (those demogorgans always got me).
