there's certain ideas that do not seem to work or sell very well, but people keep trying to make them. time loops are a big one, another is 'saturday morning cartoons' (very narrow audience and nostalgia for literal commercials won't reach many people), indie MMOs, etc

I think DMC1 aged very well sure it doesn't have the most options but it does a lot with them, and I think the phantom boss fight is a great example of that I have a suspicion that many bosses nowadays are simple in how players deal damage to them, players dodge/parry (cont)

This is one of the best examples with the issue with localization. In Neo TWEWY, in Japanese the character says “Bye” as a form of entitlement speaking in a foreign language, but EN says “Later Losers”. The correct choice would be “Ciao” as that’s what English speakers would say.

all of this is from older AC games -pace is any of the faster AC games -it's a mobile SL supply truck -stagger is always a mechanic (ex: LR rifle handguns stunlock) plus it seems like a replacement for heat in other AC -big bosses/telegraph attacks that's the arms forts in FA

The pace of combat, a hard lock on, an estus flask, a stagger mechanic that is eerily similar to Sekiro (down to the UI being the same), big bosses that telegraph big attacks that you're supposed to dodge. It's AC, but there's so much modern Fromsoft influence too.

I've completed the fires route in AC6, I think it's a high tier AC game but it's not top tier many of the problems with the game comes from the devteam waiting 10 years to drop a mecha game, it feels like it's derusting in game form
