If it wasn’t for Islam I would have lost my mind. The scale of injustice is unbearable man.
I pray Allah reassures any trembling heart in Gaza tonight.
People finding Islam in prison will forever fascinate me.
Imagine being isolated from society and the deen is still able to reach you. Amazing wallahi.
Today I had to pick up my older autistic brother from the autism center where he does his daytime activities.
As much as I like to hate on the west, I’m grateful for the amazing facilities we have here for people with special needs Alhamdulilah💗
There’s another quote I really like:
"If all your prayers were answered, would it change the world, or just yours?"
A humble reminder to leave a portion of your dua for the Ummah, after all we are one body.
The story of أصحاب الكهف needs to be mentioned again and again, especially to the young.
What I find most beautiful is the role of friendships and keeping good company. Friendships rooted in faith will never lead astray and the story of the cave is the perfect example.
Every time someone opens up to me about something I’m instantly reminded how we all have a story. No one can escape the trials and tribulations of life.
Who remembers Abv-Khvlid from Tumblr? Unfortunately this brother passed away back in 2016 Allah yerhamo. He was only 19/20. His death always stuck with me, I used to enjoy his recitation videos a lot. SubhanaAllah, death has no age. Pls share so he can get the ajr.
I think Ramadan is most enjoyable if you take it day by day and live every moment. Yes time is moving fast but alhamduliah still ample opportunities right in front of us.
“A Friday that occurs in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah is more distinguished to any other Friday of the year."
— Ibn Hajr رحمه الله| Fath al Baari, 969
Another Jumu’ah is upon us alhamdulilah.
If there's one thing the Shaykh can be remembered for is his effortless recitations of the quran.
This is him, pacing around the masjid whilst recitating the beautiful words of Allah ta'ala.
He recites with such ease, it's amazing.
🌷🌷🌷
The beginning of Ramadan coinciding with the beginning of Spring this year feels perfect. Reminds me of the dua اللهم اجعل القرآن ربيع قلوبنا (Oh Allah make the quran the spring of our hearts)
In this season of revival, may the quran revive our hearts again.
Surah Duha💕
I had this particular recitation on repeat when I was going through it. Tafsir of Surah Duha is so beautiful. Feeling stressed/worried? Listen to this.
We need (qualified) Muslims to speak on finances more often, this ain’t it. They’re selling dreams to young muslims. A 9-5 job is perfectly halal and not degrading whatsoever.
I was going through my bookmarks and I found this clip again. Most tragic story ever, may Allah have mercy upon these brothers. Such a beautiful recitation. 💔
I feel like my life is becoming a living testament to the power of dua. Alhamduliah a billion times and more. Being persistent in your prayers will always pay off, always.
Ahhh I can't get enough of his recitations!!!
I feel like I share him every other week but I honestly can't help it. Amazing reciter Allahuma baarik lahu.
Towards the end of Ramadan there’s always this looming thought whether or not I will fall back into my bad habits again. Praying for thabaat, steadfastness.
When it comes to accessible Islamic knowledge, The UK is miles ahead of other European communities.
So anyone from the UK, treasure your place. Attend a class or two this summer. Many would’ve loved to swap places with you.
If I could forever ban a topic on muslim twitter it would be anything related infertility. Too delicate of a topic to be discussed so casually, let alone argued on about in hypothetical situations.
Stories of the Prophets carry innumerable lessons, many of them we only learn to appreciate later in life.
Eventhough most of us are spoon fed with their stories we should never get tired of reading them. They will leave you with so much insight.
Thinking about a day where I’ll be made to reflect on my worldly actions scares the living daylights out of me. It randomly crosses my mind sometimes and it makes me feel numb.
I don’t like how some of you are trying to discredit scholars. The early ulema were well versed in biology and many were even doctors.
Menses is a pretty extensive topic in fiqh and so is pregnancy. Leave these silly gender analyses.
I hate to say it but- many male religious scholars aren’t well learned enough in female anatomy and how the reproductive system works. They don’t understand the struggles that come with monthly periods and pregnancy. It’s ignorance that gives us fatwas like “tampons are haram.”
Taraweeh nights somewhere in Egypt. I love this little clip. People praying outside, quran recitations out loud in the streets, it captures the Ramadan spirit so beautifully.
I wish I knew the reciter. Local Imams truly have the best recitations Allahuma baarik.
قال النبي ﷺ خَير الدُّعَاء دُعَاء يوم عَرفة
A reminder we’re one dua away from living the life we dream of. May we reap the benefits of ‘Arafah In sha Allah. 🍃
A man once asked one of the Salaf:
How much Qur’an should we read?
He replied: Equivalent to the amount of happiness you are looking for.
- Majmū’ al-Fatāwa, (7/493) ☕️ 📖
Not only is Allah The Controller of our affairs, He likewise controls the state of our hearts.
So whenever you feel disheartened or heavy, ask Him to lightnen your chest. Ask Him to fill your heart with contentment and joy.
Can’t wrap my mind around how the average age in Gaza is 18. And to think that half of the population are children, little kids is so cruel.
Trapped via land, air and sea. There’s literally no escape. ❤️🩹
“A Friday that occurs in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah is more distinguished to any other Friday of the year."
— Ibn Hajr رحمه الله| Fath al Baari, 969
Let’s make the most of it🌱
One of the greatest dua a muslim should recite every morning and evening.
- Shaikh Sa'eed bin Wahf al Qahtani, author of ‘The Fortress of a Muslim’(رحمه الله).
“Indeed in that is a sign for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which the people will be collected, and that is a Day [which will be] witnessed.”
Surah Hud, ayah 103
A recitation I have to come back to every once in a while.
Someone said the reciter captured the exact emotion of the words in this recitation. I totally agree, it’s so beautiful.
Just like the fire was made cool for Ibrahim عليه السلام I pray all the critically wounded in Gaza are removed from any pain and hurt. May they find the same coolness and comfort Ibrahim felt in the fire. ❤️🩹
Making dua whilst fasting, in Ramadan, on a Friday the last hour before Maghrib is one opportunity you wouldn’t want to miss for the world. Spare some time for yourself, family and the Ummah.
Apart from knowledge the most striking difference is mannerism. The way shuyookh conduct themselves is a lesson in itself.
You see it in the beautiful ways they approach sensitive topics or even answer questions.
Learning arabic should be anyone's focus and I feel like it's the only way to deplatform certain western Islamic speakers. Let us learn directly from the scholars so we can leave behind those that cause fitna and confusion.
Today it’s France, tomorrow it’s Switzerland and sooner or later the rest of Europe will follow. The future is not looking bright and I think it’s time to face reality.
Alhamdulilah it’s getting clearer by the day. Darul Kufr is not for us and never will be.
