#Bashlibel , my birthplace, was bruttally occupied in 1993, when I was a little kid. Dozens of people, including my relatives, were subject to torture just because they refused to leave their village. The tragedy we lived haunted us for years, every single day since that time.

Great to see that the Chanchellor made a clear statement on #Kharabakh issue. The 🇦🇲-🇦🇿 conflict wasn't different from those other territorial conflicts in the neighbourhood, although the West refused to treat them in the same way to the detriment of regional peace and stability.

Before the occupation of Kalbajar, we, the local Azerbaijanis, lived without electricity for three years as Armenians cut our electricity supply in Nov 1990 which was provided from Agdam via the former NKAO. Happy to see Az. citizens of Armenian origin don't have such hardships.

Who said it was ONLY established in 1993? Azerbaijan declared its independence within the borders that included former NKAO & admitted to the UN on this basis. UNSC resolutions reaffirmed Azerbaijan's territorial integrity & named "Nagorny Karabakh" a "region of Rep. of AZE"

As opposed to what is propagated by some Armenians, there is no blockade in Karabakh. Apart from permitting the passage of humanitarian supplies, the Azerbaijani side has announced a hotline for any urgent needs the Armenian community in the region might have.

The denial of the one of the most tragic episodes of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict - bombing of Barda - doesn't help the peace efforts, to say the least. It is unfortunate that Armenian officials like E.Marukyan choose to promote hatred and hostilities between the two peoples.

It is a false argument used by Armenians that the West's "silence" against Azerbaijan is related with energy exports. If oil/gas matterred, noone in the west would have sanctioned Russia. Int. community including the EU call the sides for a peace treaty which is rejected by 🇦🇲!

In accordance with a latest presidential decree, 80 million manats allocated for the reconstruction of Kalbajar. My beautiful hometown will soon become a major tourist destination again. It doesn't change the fact that 🇦🇲 has to pay reparations for the destruction it commited!

Having occupied the territories of Azerbaijan, Armenia made itself dependent on Russia's security guarantees to sustain the lands under occupation and protect itself. This alliance with Russia was therefore a voluntary choice of Armenia.
