Finally after nearly 2 years of privacy issues with workmen from the @CWmasterplan @BritishLandPLC development wolf whistling and spying on residents in their homes a scaffolding screen goes up! Our TRA have been fighting for this with constant broken promises from developers.

This really shows how this development is impacting not just local residents but local wildlife area’s. So many of #rotherhithe mature trees have been cut down to make way for new development. Planting new trees will take years to fully mature if they are looked after.

Absolutely disgusted to see the wildlife area CW so baron yesterday. No swans no birds just destruction everywhere. How does this make it better for wildlife at this time of year when their habitat has been taken away by British land.

@Southwark_News Why didn’t they save millions of pounds and use the Thames pathways away from any traffic and dangerous roads. It’s absolutely ridiculous what has been done to S-Quays lower rd. The design is rushed and not thought out putting cyclists/traffic/pedestrians in danger.

Finally looks like @lb_southwark are putting some signs up at the entrance to #hothfieldplace to help stop all the HGVs entering. We just need our own @WandleHA housing to follow suit and put parking restrictions on their side of the adopted road so we can park in our own bays.

How can @MaceGroup @CWmasterplan @BritishLandPLC @lb_southwark say this is not an intrusion on residents privacy. These tower cranes can work right up to their blue fence boundary next to peoples homes. What if this broke mid air and fell onto the roof. People would be killed.?

Horrendous music in Southwark park. Why is Southwark allowing our free parks to be money making schemes for companies. Loads of hoarding surrounding the event so no prying eyes. Understand Bermondsey carnival gets a free stage but DJs shouting on Mikes so loud is OTT.

Residents are told if we have a problem with impact from the CWMP development call their helpline and speak with the liason officer, the phone line is always on divert you can only leave a message and they don’t get back to you.Alternatively email them and wait 10 days for reply

Hot of the press on lower rd Rotherhithe a massive construction HGV has ripped down the new traffic lights,fencing and pathway by SQ station. This just goes to show the roads have been made to narrow along this stretch.

@Theyellowhouse_ @TfL It’s become a living nightmare for residents on Lower rd, someone needs to call it out for what it is. This is all down to a Masterplan and upgrade of Surrey Quays station, also road changes due to cycle lanes, the design is appalling and only centred on one majority of people.

Emergency vehicles getting stuck on lower rd due to traffic gridlock and four sets of lights 100 yards from each other. What do we need so many sets of lights at one place.? @Tesco who own the crossing by SQ station should be made to remove this unnecessary section.

How disgusting is this! The new Roberts close development in Rotherhithe built by CWM and Southwark is only giving underground parking spaces to people who buy their homes. Southwark council tenants don’t get a parking space and have to pay to park on the road. Social cleansing.

Yep! Tower cranes and building is really this close to residents homes. We hear every noise including workmen shouting and using foul language. Apparently @lb_southwark say this is acceptable noise levels. We can even hear them slagging residents off for complaining about noise.

Absolutely disgusting that @SurreyQuays @CWmasterplan @BritishLandPLC have closed most of the disabled bays in Surrey quays shopping centre. Disabled bays by Halifax bank have been changed to normal parking bays. Disabled people are struggling to park. No notices as to why.??

@Southwark_News @BritishLandPLC @lb_southwark That’s right at the end of residents gardens here. These nine small homes have suffered so much noise,dust,vibrations,foul language,peeping Tom workmen looking through tenants windows,pollution from machines. And yet residents here get no offer of any compensation.

Residents thought they was seeing the rare Red northern lights last night until we realised it’s the 6 tower cranes causing light pollution over our small homes from the @CWmasterplan development that @lb_southwark granted permission to build surrounding our community.

Southwark have ruined Rotherhithe with all the cycle lanes they are still not open. Roads blocked off so utility companies can park right next to their cars/vans to eat lunch. Labour will be punished by disabled drivers who have been left out of design.

Video from another community account. @tfl you have totally blocked rotherhithe with all your bike lanes and temporary traffic lights on lower rd, putting bike lanes on narrow rds, instead of thru parks or thames pathways is absolutely stupid.

Finally two days of respite for residents in Hothfield place, sadly one is to mourn our Queen. No workmen harassing tenants looking into their windows or shouting out foul language at back of gardens, blocking access on public right of way intimidating residents while laughing.

Cars trapped in gridlock traffic on Lower rd, Rotherhithe using the cycle lanes because @TfL made them to wide. It’s laughable what’s happened to lower rd, @lb_southwark needs to make them rethink this area as it’s not working. Lower rd residents suffering this daily struggle.

@lb_southwark @TfL @kieronjwilliams Only 5,000 in Southwark.?Not everyone can cycle some people with disabilities need to use a car to get about in. Will they be getting their own disabled lanes for mobility scooters. You made lower rd a complete nightmare for residents who are now even more polluted than before.

Not sure why @lb_southwark keep giving CWMP permissions to shut major roads in Rotherhithe when there are also events like #shine in Southwark park. Closing these roads causes traffic chaos for these events and visitors. What has happened to this small peninsula.

We are being polluted every day while this mess is left unsolved. Construction HGVs is also a major concern using our close and still nobody stands up to help.
