The varsity Hawks were losing 8-4 in the top of the 7th and down to their last strike and rallied to win 9-8. Led by Isaac Gomez who was 4-4 on the day and also had the winning RBI. In his 1st relief appearance of his career Robert Whitaker got the win.

Horizon spring teams will be posted today on the website. After tryouts we had the toughest decisions we have ever have to make in my 28 years at Horizon. We had 80 kids that attended tryouts and it was the most talent I have ever seen come through a tryout at Horizon.

Just had the warning tracks edged, sodded and repacked with new warning track mix. JV infield laser leveled and 50 tons of dirt added. A big shout out to Golf and Sport Solutions for a tremendous job they did on the varsity and JV field. Can’t think of a better 2 field complex!

We have some game changes for this week. Varsity and JV games moved from Tuesday to Monday to avoid weather on Tuesday. Varsity at Home at 4:00 and JV at A-West 4:30. Can’t wait to see the support on Monday!

At today’s JV and C level games Legacy and Horizon got together to help out the American Cancer Society in the Hope At Bat JV and C ⚾️ game. C level Hawks lost 12-2. JV Hawks comeback in the ⬇️7️⃣ to win 6-5 with a walk off hit by Eli Savage. Landyn Petersen got the win.

The Hawks traveled to Loveland and came back from 5 runs down to win 8-5. Nick Lay and Robert Whitaker have a multi hit games and together had 5 RBIs. Riley Marsh and Tyson Johnson came out of the bullpen to shut down the Loveland bats to give the hawks a chance.

The C level Hawks had their last game of the season tonight. They lost 5-4 to Legacy. Ayden Baumert did his best trying to keep the Hawks in it by blasting a home run. Good job Hawks. Let’s use that momentum to carry into last year.
