Please, can we collectively not give Mason Greenwood any time of day. He shouldn’t be playing football and mentioning his talent only helps in normalising the fact that he is being allowed to play after what he did. Don’t be complicit in this, it’s utterly disgusting.

Marcus Rashford is relatively easily the biggest attacking talent that England's produced in the last decade. If he was in as good an environment as Foden or even Saka then the levels he'd be at likely wouldn't be comparable to either.

Eddie fucking Nketiah man, what a performance. Big occasion and he stepped the fuck up, nobody was as good as him when he was on the pitch. I’m grinning from ear to ear, an academy product comes on and plays like that- it’s why we support the football club.

I’m not sure how you can watch him and not see his ceiling. There are no technical or physical issues with Aaron Ramsdale, it’s all mental. Couple of passes here that I can’t imagine Raya pulling off, even if the Spaniard is generally better for now.

It’s a damning indictment on the sad state of Manchester United Football Club that Marcus Rashford is so heavily disliked by some of his own fans. How can you possibly make a talent like that ever be disputed? It’s a depressing state of affairs and in no way Rashford’s fault.

Deccers is the defensive equivalent of an xG cheat code, goes against the rules, makes the game unfair. Type of guy who can make a correct action have an unfavourable outcome simply because he's involved.

We need to get Thomas Partey out the club now, it’s so horrible that he’s allowed to play football under the allegations. Makes me look at the club very differently, this isn’t what we stand for and this can’t be what we continue to stand for. Arsenal cannot be complicit in this.

Stefan Bajčetić is crazy fluid, Liverpool have such a talent on their hands but I worry about them wanting to use him deeper. That fluidity is a core reason why he's so suited to the half spaces, there's a creative ceiling in those tight spaces which is tailor made for the 8.

The gap between Ramsdale and Raya is entirely mental, don’t buy the nervous shouts attributed to the latter- does a nervous goalkeeper continue to play out from the back? Rambo exceeds Raya once he exudes calm- after that? There’ll be no questions on the GK position.

People’s ideas on Kai Havertz are based far more on Granit Xhaka than they are on Kai. That’s why he’s so misinterpreted, the whole criteria people made up in their own heads isn’t fulfilled and they’re confused.

And it's funny to see people ask me about Kai Havertz when I already said 98754335 times over preseason that he's just simply NOT a midfielder. But y'all were telling me about runs and movement and more attacking creativity than Xhaka, no? His best game so far has been at CF.

The true potential of the inverted full back position comes from it's fluidity, the fact that the double pivot isn't always occupied by a Zinchenko. Have people forgotten who filled it when Zinchenko was wide? Are we really limiting Granit Xhaka to a box crasher?
@nonewthing

City didn't because Gundogan made runs into the box and sometimes played as a SS go get Thomas Muller to replace him, did they? I warned everyone that what Xhaka did was beyond running into the box. You were talking about one of the best deep-lying playmakers of the last decade.

If you don’t platform the bloke then he’s obviously going to look a level below what he actually is. His role is far too on ball, we don’t enable him to run in behind anywhere near enough, give him a proper 8 next to him and his output shoots right up. It’s a dynamics issue.

Time to evolve Martinelli into a #9 or reduce the importance of his role in the squad. A level below the elite wide players physically. Trossard is another level below that. Arteta wanted to spend £100m on Mudryk for a reason. Qualitatively, he is undeniably superior to both.

Racking up numbers is far more about everything else than it is about the ability to strike the ball cleanly. That’s why ball striking in of itself cannot fully make up other deficiencies despite’s it’s huge importance for an attacker, you can’t score if you’re not there.

No Jorginho for Anfield bugs me, central ball carrying from the 8 is a massive factor in exploiting Liverpool considering who they have in the 6- ideally we would've had Rice in there. It's fine though, we still have qualitative superiority on the flanks- just need to use it.

Rico Lewis is going to have to save another Manchester City season isn't he. The distances are way too big for Rodri in the fluid single pivot they were using today in order to circumvent the need for Walker to hold width. Manage Stones, play Rico and they're favourites.

If Martin Ødegaard has his issues ironed out he could pretty much do all the jobs you'd ask of an LCM. Carrying's a bit of a question mark but I'd care a lot less with Rice at 6. No reason Martin can't take up auxiliary 6 positions. Would be a tragedy if he was never converted.

9 is probably the position in the squad where we have the most “of standard” depth even with Jesus out and yet there’s those that would prioritise a forward over a defender or midfielder? Nketiah Kai Tross Martinelli Yet you still want a 9? With no Saliba back up or natural 8?

Saka makes the correct decision almost every time, currently we don’t have the right profiles surrounding him to exploit that ability. Until that happens, the value of what he does won’t translate to pure output and he’s not going to have the reputation he deserves.

Sousa and Walters are not ready for this level and Nwaneri is 16 years old. ACD can feel a little miffed about not being in the squad but you've got to deserve minutes. Does ACD deserve to start over Nelson? Sousa over Kiwior? These are professionals we're talking about.

Raphael Leão’s usage at AC Milan is probably the best argument I could give as to why attacking structure improves players rather than restricting them. Even spacing and runners for passers helps the expression of superstar quality and it’s why he should move.

This is what he can do without a willing runner from midfield, imagine the numbers that Bukayo Saka would be racking up if there was an environment that placed him as one of Arsenal’s primary creators? He’s the hub, let everything flow around him- he bloody well deserves it.

Should be the first deal we do, he’s worth at least that to us. Half of his value is keeping him away from the rest, the other half is unbelievable quality + versatility- makes our back line as close to injury proof as possible.

Nwaneri and Smith Rowe aren't really competition for each other, talk of giving the latter's minutes to the former doesn't really make much sense. You'd want entirely different environments surrounding them in that RCM role, they can co-exist in a squad easily.

Look at the reaction to the Gabriel 50/50 in the box, he's not complaining about a foul, he's going mental at himself for not doing more, for being outmuscled. He's not disheartened, he's angry. It's obvious he'll succeed.

NGL, I saw Hojlund walk besides Declan Rice and his aura matched him. Both of them looked like champions made for big nights. Ferguson's got a true rival.

Great timing of release, adept carrier of the football, excellent in the press, can drag centre halves around, facilitates in the box- one touch, two touch, enables box crashers and he’s a proper dressing room presence. Top 10 CF, you don’t think about anyone below him.

Kai Havertz is 24. UCL winner. Never injured. False 9 + targetman capacity. Runs in behind as well as Haaland & Nunez. Can play deeper. Comfortable receiving on either flank & between the lines. Absolute bastard at winning duels, fouls and setpieces. Clutch performer... Hmm

His 1v1 approach reminds me so much of Mitoma’s, except Rafa is one of the most extraordinary physical profiles in the world. It’s all about the rhythm, he puts the fullback to sleep when it’s just the two of them.

If we are taking our realism hats off for a second, all of: Trossard Nelson Nketiah Kiwior Tomiyasu Ødegaard Jorginho Elneny Should be looked at regarding a possible exit in the near future. Jorgi and Martin are the only ones that I’m properly hesitant over.

Now imagine how much more chaos could be caused if there was a willing runner on the outside who's starting position is closer to Saka. Bukayo creates the space to be exploited through dragging the fullback, this "play" is so much more dangerous if somebody actually exploits it.

Ben White rolls the ball inside so Saka can meet the ball & take his first touch on his preferred foot whilst running into space with a variety of passing options ahead of him. It is a common trait in Arsenal's game. Opposition fullbacks are uncomfortable as they track inside..

Ramsdale Walters-Kiwior-Gabriel-Sousa Nwaneri-Elneny-Trossard ACD-Nketiah-Nelson No risks on Tuesday, give some of the kids debuts. I’d bring MLS off the bench early on for Trossard. Would give Jorginho some minutes but I’m pretty sure he starts on Sunday so that’s a risk.
