900 days ago I checked myself into a Rehab to get off Alcohol & Xanax. I tried to leave that night but was convinced to stay a night and then another. I stayed the full 30 days. It was the beginning of what has become the best decision I have ever made #Sober #RecoveryPosse

What I saw in my first AA meeting was a group of people who seemed to be living amazing interesting lives. They didn’t talk much about drinking but they were working on being better people, better parents, better spouses and better friends. And from what I could see most of them

When I’m visiting a new city I check the AA meeting guide to find a meeting. There was one in Marrakech (French& Arabic) and a bunch in Paris. Our travel didn’t allow me to get to one but if I needed it it’s nice to know wherever I am they are available. I’m in person - not zoom

Making the Decision to quit drinking was the hardest part. Getting there was wild: Am I an Alcoholic, should I stop, can I stop?What about him..he’s worse. Will I be happy, everyone drinks, what will they say, blah blah. The not drinking part became easy #DryJanuary #sober

I’ve never been comfortable with the word Fellowship - It sounds a bit Churchy or something I’ve never been comfortable around or wanted to be in. This is weird because the Fellowship in AA is absolutely off the charts amazing and I love every bit of it!

26 years in this house! Our kids grew up here, milestones, memories, our youngest was born here! A great house in a great neighborhood where we met dear friends, including sober in the program friends! We moved out this week, a little bittersweet but excited for the next chapter!

140 day streak of 10K steps is no big deal. The big deal for me is my resting HR of 60. 25+years of Daily drinking caused my resting HR and BP to go ⬆️ and I knew it was killing me. We’re not getting any younger so I’m going to do this aging thing as gracefully as I can #sober

I got my first ever hole in one today! I got it on the 12th hole at Bridgemill Athletic Club. Today it was 135 yards slightly uphill, I used a little sawed off 9 iron that I just purchased off the #Callaway golf pre owned site that I just got yesterday! I love that site..
