Met a Nigerian man at the World Cup & told him how much I loved this jersey (sold out everywhere). He took my address and told me he’d mail me one. Didn’t believe him but today this showed up all the way from Nigeria. Random acts of kindness do exist.

Last week I went to Walgreens to buy film. The kid working the register grabbed an SD card and asked, "Is this it?" I said, "No, like a film canister for a really old camera." He said, "Oh I know!" Then handed me a pack of blank CDs. The gap is real. I've never felt older.

Woke up to my wife teaching her Kindergarten class this lesson on skin color and treating others with kindness. It’s amazing how powerful it is to hear this lesson in its simplest form. Our greatest hope for lasting change is the youth and how we choose to educate them.

This past weekend I learned that the 9/11 Memorial staff puts a flower on a person’s name for their birthday. And there is a birthday every single day of the year, including leap years. I don’t know if this is common knowledge, but wow it’s powerful and beautiful.
