I still see a lot of fellas trying to boost other fellas by just tweeting a boost meme. As you can see in the graphic, that effectively deboosts a tweet as twitter rates graphics without descriptions/explanations as uninteresting and lowers the visibility. 2/8

So to effectively boost a fella you can still tweet a meme, but you should at least tweet a bit of text with it. Just writing boost does nothing, as repetitive words or emoticons are considered bot behaviour. 3/8

Addition regarding hashtags: Be careful of the overuse of hashtags. One or two in one tweet is all you should need. Overuse of hashtag effectively deboost your tweet. Avoid using hashtags in your bio. It's distracting for visitors and can lower your visibility.

Liking the tweet does also help, but to a lower degree. The more likes a tweet gets the more visibile it gets. What retweeting does is basically adding your own visibility to the original so that there's a higher chance it's shown in a timeline. 5/8
