Again, very strange decision to leave Selangor to take over a side which is extremely cash-strapped and in the middle of a tough relegation battle. Would’ve liked to see him to go a club with a bit more ambition and potential. If TCH can keep them up it will be a minor miracle.

Rumors surfacing that Sarach Yooyen could be the next player to move to Japan. It will be sad for the league to lose one of my favorite players, and it will be a massive blow to Muangthong’s title hopes. I think he definitely has the technical ability to shine in the J-League.

Comparing Chanathip before and after his time with Consadole Sapporo is really interesting. Not sure how true this is, but it seems like what he used to take 5 touches to do, he can now do in 2 or 3. Absolutely phenomenal operating in the half-spaces. What a player.

Interestingly, Buriram United have their own training camp in Samut Prakan, just half an hour away from the SAT Stadium. They are known to stay there when playing against Bangkok based teams. Great demonstration of how investment in facilities can make a big difference.

Interesting info...looks like Bangkok United’s deal for Hajime Hosogai is actually a loan deal. As his contract with Buriram hasn’t expired, they are STILL PAYING HALF OF HIS WAGES while he plays for a direct rival. Excellent deal for BU!
