When E.T. first went to Nigeria in 1950, highlife was hardly known outside the boundaries of Ghana and even by 1953, Nigerian dance bands such as Sammy Akpabot's Band, the Empire Band and Bobby Benson's Band were still playing mostly swing and ballroom music.

Nii Noi Nortey is a sculptor, painter, instrument inventor & avant-garde instrumentalist from Accra, Ghana. John Coltrane is a big influence on his music. This inspired the invention of his "afrifone” instruments & a series of 20 Accra Trane Station sculptures & 4 CD recordings.

Some mornings are best started with gardening. Growing up, eating vegetables was a chore. I’m much older & love them now… I even grow mine at home by repurposing plastic water dispenser bottles, cutting them in half to make pots. In the future, I plan on growing most of my food.

Back in 2019, I worked with @ghanacodeclub to launch the first AI Curriculum, curated to practically teach children fundamental concepts in Artificial Intelligence. The results? ObjectAI, an image recognition app and EmoAI, an emotion recognition app, both with speech synthesis.
