Here's a comparison shot of Vanilla Gens and Gens Redux in the newly lit Speed Highway. Don't worry, the stage isn't dark. It's just this starting little area.
Egg Dragoon came back from the biggest beating from the part of Unleashed no one talks about. Sonic's shoe texture has been remade, and we have new normal maps for it. City Escape's roads got updated, and Eggman's robots are still flexing on us.
Life is good.
Unleashed reuses the dirt footstep sound effects for the sand collisions. This has been fixed by bringing over '06's sand sound effects. Footstep pitches and volumes have also been fixed too. Take a listen with Redux Sonic in your presence!
To anyone who says "I can't tell the difference", this is the best example we can show you.

This is a perfect opportunity to show that Shadow's jet shoe sounds no longer have that weird sound with it! We also added 3 pitch variations for each shoe. His jump sound is also lower pitched than Sonic's.

Hedgehog Engine 1 is not better than HE2. Skyth did all the grinding to recreate HE2 in Generations.
Please stop saying nonsensical things and acknowledge the facts.
Artstyle is why Forces looks dead, not HE2. Itβs a beautiful engine that wasnβt used to its fullest.
ok, looks like I need to clarify again.
generations can NOT have any of these forces graphics by default. all the graphical work is done by me, I've made a lot of custom shaders that are based on HE2, and did a lot of reverse engineering to code inject all of that into the game.
Just want to let you guys know that we'll be updating both SU Project: Redux and SU Marza Sonic either this week or next week. There's a bunch of fixes and new additions we'd like to put out there for the best experience possible with our stuff.

A quick comparison of what we currently have for Pure SU v2 and Unleashed. Didn't realise results and spawn intro cams would need changing. Sonic is positioned a bit differently due to the old anim edits made by Zoney for the OG mod to fix the double mouth issue in Gens.
And we're live to the first demo for SG: Redux! Go wild, go crazy, and most importantly, read the mod's description and look at the images so you know how to set this up to avoid any crashes and get the best look.

These new ball material values and shading do be looking pretty cool π
Unfortunately, the issue with the ball being too dark and deep of a blue can't be fixed. Regardless of the issue with Gens, this actually looks rad.
Branching off the last tweet which has really good reception (thank you everyone!), the water in Arid Sands is now using the correct shader. This is the shader that is used in the Shamar Town hub worlds in the Xbox version of Unleashed.

Following some feedback regarding Green Hill and Sonic, Sonic's 2D airboost is no longer OP, and Sonic's base speed has been reduced from 70 to 65. The greens were desaturated by -30 and the water in the cave is no longer as bright. Grass blades now fit in better too.

We made a few small changes to the tricks.
- Slo-mo is a bit slower when hitting trick ramps & rainbow rings
- Game speed has been increased from 0.72 to 0.8 when performing a trick
- Trick speed with the skill increased from 3 to 3.5
We know this is a bit out of the blue, but we just figured out how Unleashed's lightshafts work in Gens! Take a look at Cool Edge! First image is Unleashed, second image is Redux. Original SceneEffect values and the light file are being used for demo purposes.
