Back in August my Mom passed away unexpectedly. It’s her birthday this weekend. Not easy. I’ve stayed focused through this. It’s what she would have wanted me to do. Oddly enough Aug was my best month of 22’. I think she pulled some strings for me when she got up there.

@ramit Don’t buy your primary residence primarily because it’s a “good investment”. Buy it because it’s where you want to spend time, where your family’s happy etc. Most folks don’t see their homes as being an investment nor should they. At the same time make a deal that makes sense

Long USD was one of the simplest trades so far this year. Many folks have been confused on this… Nailed it with call spreads last week alongside @KeithMcCullough PA up middle single digits ytd. I’ll take that in this environment all day. Long dollar has been a factor.

The weekend work is telling me not to “freak out” about copper. I’m still long with a 2/3 size position and think we can see a turn around. Past two weeks I got a sense for what it feels like to hodl something and I’ve determined all you hodlers are nuts 😂 Keep it steady.

Be bold within your own process. No weak thinking & no nibbling. Be able to explain positioning & sizing in the portfolio if asked at any time. Be able to answer with confidence. If you “don’t know” or “have doubts” you should not have the position on.

I’ll say this. My Mom made some great photo albums. She’s not here anymore & I miss her more & more as the days go by but the photo albums help. Here’s my mom and I on a summer vacation in July of 92’. (I was even rocking the aviators back then 😂)
