Sad to hear @DrAmirKhanGP on BBC saying nurse practitioners are good for dealing with "simple things". Very insulting when I have just finished a shift in out of hours independently managing complex patients. We are not drs (by choice) but we are far more than simple things!

@liminalentity @DrNeenaJha Probably not, however my experience is in a OOH GP service, so if I am prioritising calls its easier with a sats probe (even if the odd one is not accurate) over no sats probe. In my experience they have never been far off my pulse oximeter

For the odd ones that will be wrong, people having their own sats prob can mean fast treatment for many

@ShelaghFogarty Mass vaccination sites are not needed for the elderly or at risk. GPs vaccinate these groups every year for flu so know how to do it. Its an unnecessary publicity stunt from the government (like the Nightingales)
